Longtime MUD member here but new to the 200's.

Cruiser history includes several 40's, 80's and a 100.

I've long wished for a 200 and finally pulled the trigger just recently. The goal was to wait and get once I was ready to do "phase 1" of the build before driving it too regularly, simply so I wouldn't get too used to the stock feel (power, braking, etc.)

So far, this is what's been accomplished shortly after purchase:

1. ICON stage 2 with CDC upgrade
2. OME 2722 rear springs
3. SPC UCA's
4. SLEE Sliders
5. Rock Warrior wheels
6. Rugged Ridge 1.25" wheel spacers
7. 285/75/17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers
8. Weather techs
9. "Land cruiser" center console tray

Future wishlist includes:
1. Front TJM
2. Rear bumper
3. Drawers

Here she is as I received her. 2009 with 125k miles. Purchased from Lexus of Memphis.

Very nice. Do you have any rubbing on the sway bar with those 34s at full lock but without the wheel spacers on?

I'm planning on picking up those ridge grapplers as my road tires this spring
So I'm very interested in what your perception is of them, noise and manors.
Thanks man great start!

We actually ran into spacing issues with the SPC's and had to run the wheel spacers out of necessity so I can't actually confirm what sway bar rubbing would have occurred. There is no sway bar rub with the spacers however.

When you have time, whats the measurement from the center of your hub to the bottom of your fender lip?
thanks

How does that cd phone holder thing hold up? Pretty sturdy?

Is that carbon fiber-ish finish on the radio/display an option? My '13 is piano black.
Love the cd slot holder. Magnet is larger than their standard vent clip and it uses an expandable locking system that is tightened and loosened via the wingnut you see below the magnet.

I believe the carbon fiber looking center dash is factory and wasn't an option.

Looks to be a hair over 23" front and rear.
Only have 20 miles on the tires but so far I'm a big fan.

I've had TG's, BFG AT's and Toyo MT's. They are quiet, ride well and handling is great. I'm running 40 PSI now and will leave it there to see how commuting next week to work goes.

ah ok. I have a 295/70r17 and am getting a rub on the sway bar, but I think a 285/75r17 would make it and my next tire might be the ridge grappler.

Can't wait to hear your opinion of how those tires are, especially in the rocks and mud. Good looking truck, with your land cruiser background, you're gonna love what it has turned into with the 200. I'm still amazed how this big 'ol thing can get into some tight rock gardens.

Great looking truck!

I've been interested in Ridge Grapplers partially due to the exact size you are running.

Couple questions for yoooo...

Would you mind doing a mounted measurement of the tire diameter? It's always a pain trying to figure out what the real world tire size is compared with what is published. Would love to see a measurement from 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock as you face a tire.

Also... With your 1.25" spacers...are you rubbing the wheel well skirt or anywhere else? I'm surprised that you aren't hitting anything on full turn. You mentioned clearing the SPCs... You're not hitting anywhere at all now? Any info/measurement there would be great.

FYI, the recommended Cold Tire Inflation Pressure for those LT285/75-17 tires is 37psi F/R.

I know this is a link is about a jeep experience but the Ridge grapplers were tested on this trip and received positive reviews. Ridge grapplers get a small plug in the article half way down the page.

Yea I love that video, but that is made by Nitto, so I'm a little skeptical. BFG had a trip like that with the KM2 I read in an article somewhere when that tire came out, but the KM2 was the worst tire i've ever had. But I feel that ridge grappler could be a good KO2 like tire, but in that awesome 285/75r17 size.

I think that size may be the perfect compromise this side of 35's...& without feeling the need for a gear swap.

Took a tape measurement to the tires. They show 33.5".

Yes, there was rubbing with the tires. Had to remove the mud flaps and spend about 30 minutes this morning on the inner wheel skirts with a dremel and some nippers. Nothing crazy but my wheel skirts now look like @usmcHOG

This is my initial assessment. It took minimal work to keep these tires happy, they look great and I can't imagine the extra 1" will make a big difference (famous last words).

In the event I "need" 35's, I'm fortunate enough that I can pull out the 80 which has the goodies.
