Lookin good I wish I could make up my mind on mySOA

The new MT/R's look pretty sweet. You'll have to report how nice they are on the road when you're done.

stupid thing i just noticed ..... are the tires directional ?

yeah they are, and they are on the right way.

heres some pics of the rear drive shaft i had made.

the slip yoke is from a from land cruiser drive shaft.
the cv joint is from a 85 solid axle 4runner.
the shaft was extended to 38in (end to end)
and the tcase flange was drilled to match the 4runner flange pattern.

i took the truck for its first drive today. :D :D
my allignment was way off, it pull a little to the drivers side

Nope but they have a inside and outside tread but as long as you mount them the same that way you can cross rotate them

yup a symetrical

inner tread design is different from outter tread design and is why they have an inside and outside.

so i had to go to the closet trail to make sure nothing would break, and get a feel for the `new`suspension to work out the bugs.

so the details:
truck is slow as hell. i was getting to 90kmph downhill.
lspv is seized :s

truck handled great offroad. just need to re-align the steering rack.

nice tho aint it.

Looks nice Simon.
What rpm is the engine spinning at now as you're going 90 km/h?
After you get everything worked out your next project should be a turbo!!

was like ~1900rpm at 90kmph.

i do have to mention this was on back roads and didnt really get the chance to get to highway speed, and i bet i could get to over 100kmph in time. now how much time is to be tested, my guess it will be at least 2-3mins.
before with 4:11 and 32's my best 0-100 was 1:32 min:sec
it started to drag on uphill pretty quick too...

keep in mind i have auto trans and 5:29's

and yes turbo is defenatly on the next to do. just got to get the funds together.

The video looks great. I bet now with the SOA you'll stay dry doing the water cross-overs.....
If you get a chance to drive it on the road report back how it drives. What did you set your caster angle to?
OK, SOA on mine next...??

just got back from a 550km trip.

the tires ride great on the highway.
truck is slow but can reach 105km/hr.
and can cruise on flat land all day long.

speedo (vs gps) is off by 5km/hr(so take off -5 on what speedo says)

did two afternoons of offroading, and left my camera at home.

-ed,
you have somewhere to do soa?
i didnt take a degree reading on the caster angle. check my other posts on how i determined my angle

That is a good looking rig. Definitely post up when you go turbo, should be a totally different animal then.

gotta share these from last weekend
