I'm just making sure my system is rated to handle this:

Since you are already over the max amp rating with a 2000lb pull, I'd say the 2 ga. cables Warn sells are somewhat less than ideal. With 4/0 AWG cables and a 500 amp rated switch, I should never run into any issues ;) Overkill maybe ... but we are all Cruiserheads :steer:

Don't forget to ground the motor this time :)

Aren't those ampacity ratings all dependent on cable length?

Picked this up from someone upgrading to a 9.5XP motor, brand new take off ;)

The DB Starter motor hasn't let me down, just didn't like the idea it might.

I would sleep better with that motor; my DB Electric motor s*** the bed in less than 6 months.

Tucker,

Just read through your whole winch build, again. You really did a good job on that thing. Going to last a long time, now.

Thanks, it's happy in its new home ... will get around to that new motor soon ;)

Finally got around to putting on the new Warn motor, I didn't have any issues with the DB Starter motor and it will survive on the front of Gumby's 45lv ;) This was just too good of deal to pass up on a brand new Warn motor -
