I'm thinking about having my headliner on the 40 replaced with the Cruiser Corps one I picked up a few years back. I ran over to Pollet's in Fairfax where I had the Suburban headliner replaced and Doug Pollet (the owner) suggested removing the cap from the rear quarters. I was definitely not thinking that but I figured I'd put it out there for suggestions from any of you who've separated the cap like this. Is it worth doing for the headliner? Is there any benefit, risk?

Plan on breaking many of the bolts holding the cap on. It might work about as well to take the top off and turn it upside down to work on the headliner.

Replaced the EVAP seal yesterday. Took twice as long as it should have but with the very tight clearances I had to take my time or else I'd break something. A fair amount of dirt had made its way into the EVAP core housing, which is why I had the little vacuum. Cleaned it up as best as I could. No more water coming into the passenger footwell!

Next I need to diag why the AC isn't blowing as cold as it was a few weeks ago...

Hah, I did that last Thursday. Not a terribly fun job.

You're opening a can of worms separating the fiberglass from the sides. Just turn the whole top upside down on something soft.
Go find some old carpet and set it on that,

Parting this out! Hit me up if you need something. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!

If any of you guys have nothing else better to do Fri., Sat., and maybe Sun. come on out and supervise and hang out as @TRFCSUX and I work on this turd. If you have stuff to do to your truck, bring it.

If I get enough of my honey do list done I may come by.

What’s broken on it?
Nothing is broken. Going to do a cut and turn on the front axle so he can drive it on the road. We will see how that goes. I've got a donor axle here to work with.

I'll probably stop by *on Saturday* with my boy so he can turn some wrenches.

Steve wont be here until after 11 am tomorrow. Saturday who knows when we will start.

spent the morning yesterday before the heat kicked in by installing a new cabin air filter that is always clogged after Relic Run.... then installed a new dead peddle foot rest as the org one broke while at Relic Run... refilled my 5lb propane tank that I ran dry at Relic Run... patched the sidewall in my "spare tire" with Glue Tread ( will check to make sure there are no leaks after a day of pressure ) because it got damaged at Relic Run... boy Relic was a bitch !

Also installed my NAPA Maxi Trac awning that I had bought about 3 or so years ago as well.
