I will also bring a couple boxes of oatmeal and thing of eggs for the group as well.

I'm planning of fishing while out there as well. I'll have fresh bait- but nothing sushi grade. Maybe a few cans of kippers and sardines though.

I have no idea what we're gonna bring, not even the slightest idea.

Looks like there isn't anything set in stone for Friday or Saturday. Hoping we'll be able to do fish tacos with what we catch, so I will plan on bringing fish taco supplies as well as some backup halibut or other white fish for Saturday.

Eggs and bacon for breakfast?

Finally just made it to the grocery store. My dinner/snack contributions are:
Pork tenderloins (4 small-med) (couldn't find the red meat I wanted to do)
Stove Top stuffing (box)
2x packs instant butter & herb noodles
That's basically enough for 6-8 people. I'm coming prepared to pick up some mussels or clams & bread on the way in for Thursday dinner. I hope I can find something decent around Morehead City. I also have my emergency box of pasta and sauce. Oddly missing is the couple of cans of soup or Ramen that I usually have. Hmmm.

Snacks:
a variety of cheese and crackers
dry salami
Chex Mix
Tapenade for crusty bread
(must remember to get bread)

If somebody is stuck for a food idea, just bring a whole chicken and some canned or frozen veggies. We'll make it work. I'm sure we'll have too much food. That reminds me...I need to look up "cleaning puffer fish" before I get there. This might be the year I eat one since those rednecks polished off a cooler full of them last year and lived. Well, they were still alive when I left the island.

I packed the following and a little more. Maybe somebody else can pack a bit lighter now.
5qt dutch oven/lid
2qt saucepan
12" cast iron skillet
12" nonstick skillet
griddle
large and small baking pans
cooking utensils
32 paper plates
box of F/K/S
Solo cups

2 kayaks, paddles, vests and some dry bags are loaded up, too. They're fair game if Sarah and I aren't in them. Shandor called first dibs. We're heading out today as soon as the flooring guys get out of my house. Gonna get much closer to the marina again to keep from leaving home at 4am.

I found a place 10 miles from Morris marina that had plenty of fresh live bait. Shrimp, mackerel and mullet. It's another ferry place. Davis something. Basically go straight through the stop sign where you'd normally turn left by the second JD's gas. 1/4 mile up. I'll post the address on their card when I find it in my pile of crap.

Do you have signal out there?

Various parts of the house have LTE. 3G is pretty available. The worst so far was on the ferry ride.

Shandor has a fire going. Dinner was awesome. The skate were actually fighting this year. Weird. I have one to cook for a late night snack. Eric, shandor and I each have 1 skate so far.

Have Firewood, cardboard and a torch loaded for the fire. Have fishing gear including rod holders except the bait. Camp chairs and table packed. Laura got food and is bringing treats as well! Eta at Morris marina is noon. See everyone tomorrow!

I'm packed. Got Bacon, Bread, some other random stuff including treats by Julie. Too cold and windy for her this time but Im' ready for some fishing. Hoping to catch more than skate but I'll be glad if anything is biting.

Planning to stop for bait. Let us know if there's anything we can grab from the store on the way.

Deli meat and cheese, taco meat and tortillas, snacks, BEER, water, and gatorade. I'm bringing my surf rod, stake, and tackle box. I'm leaving the giant canopy at home unless you think we need it. It doesn't do well in windy conditions due to the 12x14 surface area.

Don't think we'll need the canopy! The sun will be welcome with the temps we'll be seeing.

I GOT MY GOPRO WORKING!!! First time since GSMTR that it's turned on. Should be able to get some good footage this weekend:D

It is absolutely beautiful down here. Safe travels to you all. See you tomorrow!
