Yep.You guys rock!
So the road to Portsmouth Village was open?
Cabin rental booking opens in early January. Sarah will determine our dates and secure 3-4 cabins again on the day booking opens. We've always done this trip as a first come/first served and split cabin costs by dividing that by attendees (Sarah pays and gets reimbursed by attendees). Ferry reservations are made and paid by attendees (max 6 vehicles per load, departs every 2 hours as needed).Looks amazing as usual. This trip is one I have drooled over for several years. Mary says we need to pre register for next year's Portsmouth trip now. How do I secure my spot for family of 3 for Porstmouth 2017 ?
Any pics of the village? How were the bugs? The usual response I get when talking about this trip is "oh there are too many bugs there."
Some of it, yes. We left our smarts on the mainland. This might be a dumb question, but is that salt water you guys are driving thru?
The mosquitos were HORRIBLE on Friday on the road to the village. Giant basturds that covered your flesh and filled your truck through any opening. There was almost no breeze that day. The other parts of the island that we frequented on Friday was relatively bug-free, but I did open my truck on Saturday and Sunday mornings to dozens of flies that weren't there the nights before. The village road and the dunes have the only vegetation on the island, other than the greenery that's off limits on the sound side....... How were the bugs? The usual response I get when talking about this trip is "oh there are too many bugs there."
