One mod I would do while that dash is apart is make all 4 vents the kind that can adjust flow with the center thumb knob, not just the outer ones. I've been meaning to change mine out but it's a ton of work to get there to do that.

I have a few of those, but, this is just a cap and don't plan on taking the OE dash off (Well this go around anyway)

Received my 9.5rs Christmas gift. Box arrived in good shape. Now the mounting fun begins. Thanks J.

I await to see Poppy's winch mount framework so I can attempt to replicate.

Where can I find those dash caps? What material are they made of? Sure is a nice alternative to the cracking OEM dash.

I buy mine from CruiserCorps. $94ish and anything over 100$ is free shipping. So, add another small item and get a good deal. Most other places are 115-160.00 plus shipping.

They are a mold plastic. You glue it on, but for the most part it snaps in place and will stay put without the glue.

You don't have to take the dash apart to swap out the vent balls.

With a little slippery lube they can be pried out (with force) while the dash is all assembled as is.

I've done it that way. Nothing ever broke. But it takes some finagling.

Thanks Output shaft. I have spare vents to do this but thought I would have to do major surgery to install them. This is going to sound really bad but what is your lube of choice for this?

^^
I don't remember what I used. Probably what was handy. Probably dish soap.
(generally not my lube of choice)

O pangasket
Yech.

That's my next task is replacing the oil pan gasket!
You got some work to keep you busy for a few hours!

Aaaw, looks like you have some quality time ahead of you, mr J!

While I like having a 61, I really miss the old 60 square dash.
It's way more classy! And good intel about the pad!

I think I'll have to get another donor with 60 front and dash...!

Nice skins J. Look kinda like Cruiser Corp. I have a set from Cruiser Corp but cannot make up my mind about installing them. I love the look of the original stripes and my interior is in decent condition. Decisions, decisions…
