Just ordered those exact parts today!!
Full assembly is no longer available.

They are nice and shiny! I figure with the new grill and bezels.. putting the old sun faded and cracked lenses back on was WRONG...

I know I have a new TOYOTA emblem for the grill, but I haven't opened the right box yet...

You'll love it J. I recently replaced the corner lenses, headlight doors, and a new grill emblem. Makes for a happy 60.

Thanks Output shaft. I have spare vents to do this but thought I would have to do major surgery to install them. This is going to sound really bad but what is your lube of choice for this?

I didn't even use a lube...:meh:

My upholster guy (new) just dropped off most of the carpet kit. Said it would be after Xmas on the cargo carpet. All cut and sewn. Even made matching 28oz jute backing pads for it as well.

I love the OE style loop much better than the plush my previous person used.

So is your upholstery guy local to you now? What kinda price are you looking at for a full set?

R, since the lady that was making stuff for me got her life insurance check from her husbands death, she is retired...... :meh: So, I have talked with the new guy (mainly does boat interiors) and he said he would take a go at it. However, I'm not sure if I will pursue selling carpet kits. In 20 months I had a total of 5 inquiries. Really not worth the hassle for a 20% markup plus shipping them once complete.

He used an old set of mine that was in really good shape to make this set for me. It will be some time before I get to the carpet install to even verify fit and quality of workmanship. He charged me 750.00 for the set and will make alterations if need be for free until it is what I want. As for the look of the set right now, I'm very happy.

That is a fair price even if you marked it up 20% providing the fit was good.

T, with a mark up and shipping it would be close to a 1000.00 kit. All I hear is how expensive carpet kits are in general. If someone wants a less expensive kit they need to make it themselves or be proactive and source an upholster to make it for them and save the markup.

Hope you and J have a very Merry Christmas and a safe New Years.

A good kit is worth a lot to me. Jenna and I go to San Diego in the morning to spend some time with her ailing mom.
All the best to you and the family!

I agree with @Bear Lake Cruiser on the price. Especially for those that are looking to do more of a frame off resto vs. just a mod.

And take care with your ailiing MIL, not always the funnest of times especially around now but it means the world to Jenna. Mine had disappeared around the corner before we really even knew what happened. But a 10+yr battle with cancer does that. God speed and prayers man.

To my knowledge, there isn't a good 60 series carpet kit on the market, Jason. SOR's set cuts around the seat legs instead of being moulded under them. It really detracts from their product. The Cool Cruiser carpet is the thin, cheap Aussie set which only fits the early year 60's with the high floor structure. You may not plan to carry carpet but please encourage your apholsterer to save his patterns just in case. You might consider taking '5 at a time' orders to make it worth his time.

I look forward to pics of your install.

When doing a custom build, a product based on expertise is the way to go.

These are vintage vehicles now folks. Stop treating them as if they are your run-of-the-mill trucks.... Regardless of the price you paid to buy it.

Find experts who support what you want done to your baby.
