Im not sure I understand?

A contaminated diesel fuel system seems like less of problem to deal with than gas to me...

Seems like with the Diesel not rusting tanks and the easily replaceable fuel filter and water separator contamination wouldn't be nearly as much of a problem...

it's not the gas that rusts the tanks..it's the lack of. If you use them they last for years. If you tend to only keep a gallon or two in a 24gallon
tank, you'll have issues. I have a Dodge with a Cummins. I love it for towing and hauling but it flat out sucks if you're trying to take a relaxing
drive through the country with the windows down. They're noisy bastards and down right filthy to work on

We pay $5+ a gallon for gas... and most days more for diesel. I've considered a swap... but the break even point would be so far down the road it'd not be worth it. Diesel doesn't make sense for most of us for a few mpg.

I really enjoy the Benifits of always having the luxury of an easy 400 miles+ on a dual tank setup. I fill up when I want and on the highway can even see 550 miles+ on the highway. I'd keep the tank and use it... as a primary or secondary tank. My 'Confer' tank has no baffling and it hasn't been a problem.

Who said that?

Just like petro, if you leave it in the tank long enough, it will rust the tank when it goes bad.

Further, diesel will grow a really sweet slime and plug everything up. Especially this bio-diesel we are subjected to now.

Then, lets discuss cold weather and diesel/bio-diesel.

I am a diesel guy, but something being diesel does not make it exempt from fuel issues.

:meh:

I'm also very happy with my 9000 lb diesel rig... but after careful consideration, there's no benefit to a diesel in my 40.

Enjoy your gassers :D
