So thermostat gasket goes around the lip of the thermostat not against it… dumb.
Please advise…Timing belt tensioner go bang.

Correct. The grove inside the rubber gasket goes on the perimeter of the thermostat. Cruiser is back to life, correct?
Make sure to run several gum-out injector/cylinder cleaners. One bottle per full tank of gasoline. Repeat several times.

Yeah, it’s just fine. I couldn’t get coolant leak fixed so that’s how I found I did the gasket wrong lol. I’ll be sure to clean her out for the next few tanks with gumout. Thanks.

Heater fan was going crazy when I tried to burp coolant and smelled like death. Looks like 2 mice made a nice warm home in my blower until I had to go ruin it for them. Cross your fingers this is the last of my woes for a while…goodness.
