I'm not saying MAF your issue. But, I'm replacing more and more MAF these days. Important that battery negative post be disconnected first and for minimum of 20 minutes, reconnected last after all work done.

MAF, FPR, poor compression, bad O2 (typically only one bank) sensors, EVAP VSV stuck open, soaked Charcoal canister are some of the most common issues for running rich.

I've been chasing down my stalling issue for like 2 years now. It happens about once every 3-4 months so it's impossible to recreate and never gave any codes. I just got these P0172 and P0175 codes today and it led me to this thread, which I'd not found previously to my knowledge. I replaced my MAF about 5 years ago with a unit from Partsouq, but I'm about to replace it again and cross my fingers with an updated part number version from a US supplier. Please work...

Quoting myself ^

Update: New MAF sensor seems to have fixed my issue (1-2k miles of driving and no codes or funny business). The MAF sensor that I replaced was the updated part number unlike what I had speculated in my previous post. It seems like it only lasted a year or two before I started having intermittent stalling issues with no codes, and then a couple more years until it started to fail completely.
