 That clears it up.

What i lost is the dang oe 55 bumper thats been waiting around a year for me to get to this front bumper/winch project ...... :( and now its been jacked. It would have been perfect as it had alot of character with a nice ding/bent corner and some cool patina. shucks.

Found an Oem 55bumper.

Beefed it up added some mounts for the IPF’s.

Kept it tucked up nice n snug against the winch.

I need to find an old schoolish looking fairlead....or may try and hide one on the inside of the bumper to keep the oem-ish style.

Not sure why anyone would rock a HF winch when a Warn8k can be often had for under $500.
probably because they are both China and HF 12k can be purchased for $289

Bacon bits looks awesome by the way:clap:
I sometimes forget that there's an 80 under there

Not all warn winches are made in china. You can always tell a chinese winch because it sounds like a rock grinder.

My chicomm winch sounds OK when it works. The problem is after the solenoids are warmed up from a little use, the only sound it makes when the button is pushed is CLICK.... I could spend some real coin replacing Chicomm solenoids with USA warn solenoids, but then I might as well buy a good used USA winch.

finally got around to welding up some Patina Cupholders - and used some rubber inserts an old roommate left behind.

the plan is to leave them raw steel and see if they pick up some patina :

Got my first real test out with some serious weight in the back of Baconbits As well as a good 200mi round trip highway only tester of mpgs. I’ve been running some high detergent 7.5w/30 synthetic which is yielding 19.6mpg hyw as the block is cleaning out a bit.

845lbs made the springs sag a bit...

The oztent Rv1 fits an Exped Megamat Duo like a glove.....and allows the tent to collapse with it fully inflated. So full setup or collapse time of the tent is about 20seconds as the oztent is already fully unfolded/uncased.

in collapsed form - with the inflated Exped and bedding - the whole thing sits under the roofline for quiet and no wind drag.

Thats stellar - I have an RV 1 and it has never occurred to me to do this - you now have a 30 second set up! Brilliant!

no more unpacking or unfolding the Oztent. its opened up already and ready to simply reach in and lift up/deploy. this pic is with the awning sealing up the top portion. so just untuck that and reach in for the lift up tug strap. Im shooting to get a tarp cover made to seal the oztent awning from uv rays and be an inexpensive replacement for uv wear n tear vs the tent. i will probably do it in grey to match the roof grey.
