I did some final soldering this past week and officially have all the 55 tailgate turnsignals and front fender indicators working along with headlights -ipf highbeams.

i shortened an EMS ceramic coated pipe and cinched it up with its silicone hose to the new airfilter housing mounting point.—then relocated the pair valve mount on the air filter for the upcoming storage box.

It's 1973 man, ease up. -Also, wanna buy a lid of grass?

(Sorry, I remember the 70's & I'm in Skagit County, fer the luva Moses :grinpimp:)

This is still the coolest use of a 60 VIN, IMO.

:::takes another number off the roll, stepping back in line for when you choose to "thin the herd" :::

I fookin' love this thing, right down to the paint & rust spots. It's fawking the epitome of cool in Cruiserworld.

If I get shopspace again I'll build one myself, Cruz (a AKC boxer/dog worth more than me) -riding shotgun. And blowing "jowle juice" all over it. Fawker.

finished up the box today- using the remounted airfilter mounts and stock fenderwell captive nuts- and remounted the rad expansion bottle to maximize space:

i had some spare 80 rear hatch weatherstripping saved for this which fit real well and makes a nice seal to the hood.

I recently learned that Outback Extreme is right down the road from me literally 5 minutes. I went to his facility for an inflation demo on a 37” tire. It went from 10psi to 30psi in about 2 minutes flat. I was impressed by the compressor and the owner who spent an hour with me. One of those set ups is at the top of my list.

they really suffer performance wise if mounted in the engine bay due to heat. Noticeably better with cool air. i will probably put mine in the rear underbed as im trying to get more weight in the rear and im contemplating putting both batts/compressor and winch in the rear.

Mine will go where the spare once was. These compressors are weather proof. The owner told to just give it a little time after a full submersion like as in a typical river crossing. The motor is huge!

Hey, it's suppose to rain for the next few days/weeks/months. What ya gonna do without that windshield wiper motor?

Leave it to TrickyT Clairvoyance......

I literally just finished rebuilding this baby today. 40years of grease and it was still chugging like a swiss watch. The gears looked pristine but the grease had turned into a yellowed wax consistency. Gotta love Toyota engineering and durable simplicity!
