I just love this 40. A great build and IMHO, nothing looks better than a stock 40.

The Anglia is sweet too. Keep it up and thanks for posting. :p

Wow! and double Wow! I had to drop in and see where this project was. Didn't realize that you already had the harness installed. Looks fantastic!
Any questions just email or call me.

As a side note: My house is about a month from completion then it will take me about a month to get set back up to do harnesses...

Thank you very much, just some hickups with the engine rebuilders, they take too long.... The car will be stock as possible, I only added disc brakes and a stock looking a/c, and an OEM roll bar.

Anglia is sweet. Once I finish the FJ40 I'll start work on the Spitfire.

Best

Hi everyone, well I'm just a "little" frustrated on getting my car done, the engine rebuilders is backed up (three months), so, I'm still waiting on my FJ40. Anyway, a while back I promised to update on my other cars, so far the Anglia 105e is basically all done and ready. Here are some photos for you. Best.

Very cool...and ready for Halloween...wonder if Ron, Harry, and Hermine will be coming by for a ride ;)

As for your 40...the engine will be done before you know it, and to put things into perspective, it is still years ahead of mine, (family first, so mine sits patiently and waits for those moments that I have free time), ...yours is already awesome just sitting there...just make sure you have a great big red bow ready to put on her when she is ready for Christmas

Hahaha... You know, I just drove the Anglia out once to Starbucks, and not less than 10 people stopped to take pictures with it, a family with kids were even waiting to see if Mr. Weasley showed up to take it away ;P

I keep my hopes up my FJ is ready come Christmas. I'll be sure to pour in a lot of pictures then. As for timing my BMW's lease is up, so, my FJ will be my daily driver for a while.

Pistorman,

Are you a member of the Texas Triumph Register? Your Spitfire looks familiar...

I'm a general member of the VTR but not the Texas. I'm currently restoring it. The least advanced of mu projects.

What a great restoration you've undertaken. Your 40 is going to be a great drive once you're all done. Thanks for documenting it all here, and giving a newbie a good list of resources -- my new-to-me '76 comes home next weekend.

Nice LBCs as well -- you've got a neat little collection going. Hope they give you many good miles, I know my old MGB certainly has for me.

Finally, the engine is in, whole bunch of questions coming up this week, but we'll get through it. :)

Two speed rear heater

In the basement working on your harness and have a question: Is the rear heater you obtained a two speed or single speed? The harness you will get will accomodate a single or a two speed but if your rear heater does not have the resistor in the housing, you will need to get it, to make it a two speed. I revived an old thread asking if someone knows the value and wattage of this heater resistor as they are easy to source if you know these values.

4 ohm, and there are pics in the following thread...

On low speed, it's virtually silent.:D

Your rig looks truly amazing, it makes me want to do the same to mine some day. Wow!
