Wtf is this crap?
Bread trick didn't work.
Harbour Freight slide hammer puller didn't work.
The old school corded milwaukee diegrinder got it though.
A tiny bearing in a bushing, in a bushing in the crank.
Fortunately it appears that the correct bearing will still fit.

I actually did the bread trick last month and it worked..I was a bit surprised..brioche, too..fancy.
 
My guess is that there was enough bread squeezing through the inner and outer race of the bearing prevented it from working.
I believe the bearing was lock tighted into the first bushing, which was then lock tighted into the second bushing which was then locked tighted in the crank.

If you can't find the size you need, it's possible to machine them. I needed to modify a couple for an emergency repair once. I cut them on my lathe. Read up on machining Oilite material. It can be machined if necessary. The wrong way can cause problems though.

Would it be possible to press a 12mm ID Oilite bushing into an adapter piece machined to 1" OD?
 
Probably.

I thought about your solution, but haven’t found any bushings that were very thick, and was worried about heat cooking the oil out of a very thin piece.

I’ve got a 1” dia. bar on its way. Most likely I’ll machine my own, but was hoping to find a “drop-in” solution….

I’m pretty certain that when the bushings are made, they are compressed to the proper size directly….

Maybe I’m overthinking thinking this…
