I didn't know this rig was being discussed right now... But I kept finding myself humping it's tires like a hound dog on a dachshund in heat:

Oh, and I did find an major flaw in it. The beadlock rings are way too big and Jason needs to go back to the original thinner rings. Solely because Walker Evans wheels are works of art, and those rings hide them. Oddly, the spare on the rear bumper has the stock WE ring, but the four on the ground do not.
This Pig definitely went to market, it did not have roast beef, stay home, or go weeweewee

Because when I ordered them Walker Evans only had 3 slim ring and 4 large rings in stock. And I had just sold my Stazwork double beadlocks and the truck needed wheels so 4 large ring and one small ring it was.

Amazingly the truck has not changed at all! The kink in the bottom of the drivers front fender from the crowbar I used to mount it, the dent on the passengers rear where boxes fell off the shelf at Iron Pig that could easily be pulled out paintless, the s***ty splicing job I did on the door jam weather stripping, etc. All things I thought for sure Penney with all of their resources would have perfected.

Always loved that 55...only thing I'd do is see if Perry (LSLC) would trade me his 16" OEM steelies and tires for the Walker Evans package...I "get" the Walker Evans but, like Gary's all Toyota UZJ-45, a set of oversized steelies and hub caps would be nice.

Amen

Never meant to be a rock buggy.

Once the pig has seen Paris, it's hard taking her back to the farm.

That pig will love you forever, if you rub her belly and caress her sides with limestone. If too much, I'll trade one that's not see the outside of the pigpen, so very tame and docile, content with concrete and asphalt.

Caressing a pig is fine but chopping off a slab for delicious bacon, and then trying to sew it back on is almost as hard as finding original mirrors for 45 year old pigs. Lol

Caressing a pig...

I'm goading you....

Doubt mine will ever see a gravel road and only caresses equal to those reserved for the wife, the Pig now granted mistress status by.

But that's MINE and this ain't YOURS, a fact you're well aware of, but feel my duty to remind you......kinda like a herald on the outer rings of the Inferno.

Bahahahaha.

I LOVE THIS PIG!

Haha nope I don't own it anymore! But just like a kid it will always be mine. lol.

And I know you think you love this pig, but the reality is rose colored glasses. lol.

I know right away that for your level of perfection and even if I bought this pig back a lot of work would have to go into it.

Things I know that are "wrong" right off the top of my head.
- The front suspension needs to be re-done. Jon and I had never done a 3 link. We got the towers wrong on the first try and had to use 12' coils not the original 14" coils that I bought. Additionally the same caster/driveline angle problem you face in an 80 you see in this truck. But you can fix it "enough" with the adjustable links. But look closely at the front springs and you can see they are bowed forward.
- The hydraulic bumpstops are just for show. They do not touch anything at full stuff. There was never a pad built for the front axle for them to work.
- There needs to be a thermostat and a thermo switch placed on the transmission cooler. As it is now the fans just run constantly.
- The fuel tank needs to be pulled and the top ports need to be sealed as it leaks gas when you fill it.
- There is a new overheating problem that didn't exist before so I am guessing there are some lean issues, hopefully they haven't been going on too long and caused significant harm to the motor.
- Rear exhaust hanger broke when I was at the beach and is held up with stainless wire.
- The rear pinion seal leaks (unless that has been fixed not something I can still see)
- Rust starting in the driver side rear door and rear tailgate, needs to be patched.
- The coating needs to be sprayed on the doors and tailgate (once it is fixed) that was never done because I took the shell over only during the initial build
- etc.

So I know it looks like a great truck but no way your perfection mindedness would work with it. Sorry. You need to keep your hat out of the ring for any potential purchases if it goes up for sale. haha!
