So, just looking it would be better for us to stay south and meet at your place rather than going north somehow and meeting. Looks like Hwy. 80 is our main route across. I wasn't sure if 90 would've been better. 3 or 4 days out to you depending if I put it in overdrive or not. :) A lot to do, so I better get crack'n.

Late to the party as always . so 2 days on the trail 8-28 to 8-29 , is that correct , if so i need friday for a travel day .
We can extend it to whatever the group wants, basically it’s a 100 mile trail and you and I can make that a 2hour trip with no stops but we would miss most of the cool stuff along the way. There is camping along the way and at each end so I was thinking about taking a couple days with camping somewhere in the middle and ends then turnaround and do it in reverse so maybe four days of camping and a day or two or road driving back to Boise.

I’m happy to setup my place as a staging area and camping spot if needed for the guys traveling longer distances or bringing trailers.

Again I just want to go camping with some friends so I’ll go along with just about any plan.

Might be some ghost towns worth driving to.

What night would you say then to be night zero at your place before actually starting
Makes zero difference to me as long as I know ahead of time I'll make it work on my side.
You guys work out the details and count me in.

Seems we can make a loop out of it and get back to the Idaho side via the nearby Lolo Motorway. Looks like it could be fun.
Our schedule is obviously more flexible. Would plan on hitting JMack's on the 26th (could do earlier). That'd leave at least Fri-Sat-Sun on the trails, probably more fun Thurs-Monday. I'd rather have time to explore some along the trails than press the daily mileage. Like Ron, we'll be taking our time getting home via Montana and Wyoming.

Ron...if you and Jeri want to do I-70 (more scenic than 80) you'll come through Grand Junction. That route shows to be 1/2 hr. longer from your place. It's then 622 mi. to Boise according to MapQuest. Bonnie wants to split those miles up and overnite in Salt Lake City. If you want, spend the night here, if we stop at SLC we can tour the Land Cruiser Museum, which you missed last year, then go on to Boise the next morning. Worth the stop. If you're up for company, we're flexible for post-Pig Party adventures.

Jim, thanks for a great offer and plan. Let us dig into it more and see how the miles and time figure out. I'm thinking we have @ a 10 to 12 day window to make it happen for us. My goats would up and disown us if we stayed out any longer.

I'm going to act like I'm committed (to the trip) up until I can't make it. If everything works out well throughout August then we're out'a here.

I need help! Anybody know Pat (Dogfishlake) of Bowfin Cruisers fame? I need to buy and have shipped one of his roof racks for a 55 (in Megadoomer black) of course. Without his rack I'll have to tow the trailer, but not sure if the trail is suitable for it. We're redoing the entire camping system for this trip, because I don't have anything else to do. :) I reached out, but haven't heard back and it's been twenty minutes now, so what's up with that, right.

Anyway we're planning on going, because Jeri has the maps out already.....I need a rack and not like Aloha Jen's

Pat AKA Bowfin is at SAS4. He is out of reach this week.

Thank You,

That explains a lot.
If you want to trailer to our place, I have a large ConFer rack that used to be on my Pig you can borrow for the expedition if necessary. We'd need to source the gutter mounts since I'm using them elsewhere. But I think Gamviti here in CO is still making ConFer knockoffs. You could drop the rack off and pick up your trailer on the way home.

We're blocked off through the following Labor Day weekend, 9/6.

Deo...I'll take the XXL and the medium even though the Pig is the wrong color. Bring it with you. Let me know about payment. Looks like we may already have an "official" shirt.
Jim

Let’s be clear - it’s unofficial! After my last t delivering performance, I’m now mail order only. Shoot me $42 on paypal and I’ll ship em out. Cruiserjunktion@gmail.com
