When does everyone think the first trail ride is going to be? I'm planning on getting there late on the Tuesday the 19th. We were planning some back roads down to Bryce on the way there, but that will get me there late. What's everybody else thinking?

I also made dinner reservations at the Grand Canyon Lodge that Friday evening at 5:45pm. Looking forward to watching the sunset while stuffing my face.

Our plan is to roll in sometime Wednesday and depart Sunday. We have also made 5:45 reservations for Friday at the lodge dining room.

Let's say Thursday for the potluck, so everyone will be there. What does everyone think. I want to know who's stepping up and making Ige's bacon cookies?
Leaving Grand Junction on the 18th...may or may not stop along the way (GJ-Moab-Kayenta-Tuba City-Jacob Lake-DeMotte) Monday night but will for sure be there on Tuesday. Have camp site reserved through Monday-Saturday nights.
Dinner at the Lodge is a great experience. Be sure to ask for a window seat for the full experience. Best views are actually from the multi-story glass-walled sitting room on the old leather couches. Be prepared for crowds.
Sounds like first trail run ought to be Wednesday (unless there's enough of a gathering by Monday evening.) Happy to just sit around a group campfire and lie to everyone if we're there on Monday night.
Getting anxious...both for the event and about getting the fluff and fold stuff done on the LC. Moving my daughter and family back from San Diego over Memorial Day weekend so will start in earnest after the 1st. Adrenalin is a great motivator...it's how I made it through college.
