That is awesome you and Ige are coming!
hopefully. going to try to make at least a long weekend of it. a lot of it depends on when the family goes back to norway, but we usually don't go that late due to the horseracing industry and the fact that my bro can't be away from the farm that long in their season.

i like the sounder roundup just because most people won't know what it is.

i also say keep it separate from tlca. we can do a writeup after the fact to let everyone know what they missed ;)

Hey Piggies,

I've been away from Mud for a while, but a blown HG on my LX450 brought me back for info. That is when I stumbled upon this treasure of swine motivation. I live and work in the SouthWestern hills of the San Juan Mtns and I've been running off road tours and taking customers on these trails since the early 90's. (man i'm getting old...) I'd love to join up with y'all and I'd like to offer any info or support I can to help pull it all together.

Cheers!!

Ben

That would be great! You would know what passes are open end of June and which are more challenging than others, so maybe we could have a choice between runs on each day, etc. Just awesome! This is going to be one hell of a trip.

Thanks Ben

Yup. As we get closer, I can provide real-time trail reports as the passes open. Most trails are suitable (imho) to stock rigs. There are a few which require clearance and lockers. Some will be impassable that time of year due to high water run off and river crossings. The local counties, (San Miguel and San Juan) do a GREAT job of clearing out even the highest passes by July 4th so we will have to watch the snowpack as the date gets closer. We even have ethanol free gasoline available at several spots down here for those of us who use nothing else...

Some passes, like Imogene, are over 13000' in elevation. Be ready to adjust timing and such if yer coming from 5000' or below and not running EFI. Just my 2cents.

High Country Pig Party! I'm glad I found you guys!

Ben

P.S. Feel free to PM with specific trail spec questions as they pertain to your rigs.

Bob,

Totally understand if you can't make it, but if there's a shot, this would be the one to make. For a 55 guy to come together with other pig heads and get to hang out is huge. If you want to come through Mo., we can caravan the rest of the way at our speed! :)

Ya, I will probably not need my whole site. If someone goes with me we may just be in the Doomer.

11 piggies so far have campsites and 1 fj60 off-spring.
Sounds like many of us have some work to do if we are going to actually drive our illustrious 55's to the event. I for one stripped the 2F engine to the bones and it is in the machine shop getting sleeved and balanced (burning oil badly ). Hope to have it breathing again by early Feb. Plenty of time for a healthy break-in.

Attached is a camp map showing who's where.

Glad to hear what B.C.Hashall has to say. Will you be joining us Ben???

Not sure if I will stay at the campground, but count me in for the trail rides.

Ben, that is awesome! Thanks for posting up!

First - Nice Pig!
Second - where are you based out of? We love coming down to the Valley when we can (which is not often enough).
Third - Nice Pig!
Fourth - is it okay to discuss trails in this thread? If you would rather go by PM, that is fine too.

Can't wait to meet up with everyone!
