Oh yeah, it gets loud. That is one function of the adhesive. If you add mass to it, it will quiet even more. Asphalt patches, bed liner, etc. Expanding foam can do wonders too. It adds enough rigidity to change the resonance of the panels.

After doing a lot of research and finding that bonding or foam are both wrong for this application .This is what I am going to use.

I didn't see this thread when I did mine, I used 3M windshield sealant then hush mat. Has held up great so far: Builds - Recently acquired locked 94 build
