done deal. They will be delived to my door tomorrow. Now I'm going to need to find a set of 17" beadlocks, 4.88's or 4.56s and someone to buy the other two.

But if you decide not to run them and want to sell please let me know

You have first dibs on them if I don't Alan. If anything I sell you 2 and that will get you half way at half cost. Let me get my hands on the tonight and let me just see how big they are compared to my 33's. I'm thinking they are going to be monsters. They weigh 125 lbs a piece.

Did I read your post correctly and you got a siping tool also? If ya get another deal like this put me in behind Alan. How about a tread siping party?

Yeah I plan on keeping the tool. It would make a good addition to the club. I'm sure it would get well used. And the more I do research the more I think I'll turn the tires around and get some 35's. I cannot imagine Alan needs all seven. BUt who knows.

Oooh, siping party. I've been thinkin' about siping my swampers a little.

Im next in line if Hard 40 doesnt want them. Just the excuse i need to buy some 17" beadlocks.

Having never really messed around with siping tires, I started to think about the limits (depth), how to control, best patterns per tire make / model, expected outcomes, etc.

I found this article that gives a good, basic run down on some of my questions above:

http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/tech/sipe/

You guys probably have more experience with this than me but the article reinforces the positive benes of siping if nothing else...

they also have info about grooving with the same tool on that site. Will this tool do both? It looks like I may be scoring another set of 33's for a good deal and may try grooving them.

sweet!!! I bet you are ready!

As a side note. 37's are gunna make 33's look like honda wheels!!

Well I've decided not to put the tires on the cruiser. Just don't have the cash to put into rims and newfields.

Good news. I still bought them for someone else. Alan has first dibs.

Just to much for pepe right now.

THe cutting tool is awesome. Much more than I expected. ONe of the tools they use at Michelin to cut new tread patterns for new product tires.

I think I did pretty well for a days work.:D

Marshall,

Cool looking rubber, for sure!!

I know Alan has 1st dibs and other folks probably have 2nd, 3rd, 4th and so on.

If you run through your buyer options, let me know.

I could take the 4 with the most tread / lugs off your hands. Don't know a price to make it worth your time and I'd suspect we could cross that bridge if it ever got there.

After talking with Alan about his search for 37's MTR's at Tellico, I'd assume these are purchased...

If Alan doesn't want them I do and I can pick them up. Let me know.

Thanks

Looks good. I can definately understand you wanting to do it right. I am hopign to be able to go 35's after my lift, have 33's just in case, we will see.

Did you get these through the plant? Crazy how deals fall on some of us! The 37's dont seem as big as I thought they woudl be against the 33's. But are still aplenty.

Alan has 5 spoken for. Looks like I get to keep them in the Upstate cruiser family.

SOOOOOO!

That leaves 2 brand new uncut 37 x 12.5 x 17 left. I'm selling for $200 a piece. And if your a member of Upstate cruisers you can borrow the sipper and the patterns to cut the tires. Thats $320 dollars off what 2 would cost.
And if you purchased two more at full retail you would still be getting a set for almost 1k. NOt a bad deal on these bad puppys.

I have these people in line. Post up or PM me if you want to pass as I'll sell them on e-bay or Pirate for $225 each.

Dibbs

1. John informationjunky
2. Micheal 71-cruiser
3. Andy cruiser4life
4. ?????
5. Pirate
6. E-bay

I'm working on a deal for sliders...out. Thanks Marshal

Thanks for the opportunity, Marshall. Glad it worked out for Alan and you acquired a nice, new tool!!!

2 won't do me any good as I was thinking about picking up 4 to give my GY MTR's a rest during street use. I know some folks around here that may be interested though in the 2 as spares if you can't sell them elsewhere.

Are these going on Alan's blue trail 40? If so, what is he doing with the tires that are on there now??
