Amazing the variety and how most have owned the same vehicle or same brands in the past. We must all be crazy car guys. Wife doesn't understand how I have owned close to 20 cars in 15 years.

Just remind her that you COULD have been a "crazy wife guy..." but chose to swap out CARS instead. ;)

Let's see......

High School
1978 Chevrolet Scottsdale (Really my Pops, but it was the first car designated for me to drive)

1986 AUDI 4000
1972 BMW 2002
1983 BMW 533i

I may have missed one there. I didn't hold onto cars too long then, selling them for college $$. Every one had a manual transmission.

Then my late 20's through today
Still had the 87' BMW 535i
1990 Honda Accord
1988 Toyota 62 (totaled)
1989 Toyota 62

1986 Toyota 60 (current)

2008 Lexus ISF - I'm not responsible enough to own a car like this (jail or dead was going to be my fate)

I understand exactly what you mean. Luckily there is a track not too far from me that has open lapping days. Other than that, it's 35mph to work, 35mph home. Sad life for a big mean v8!

Same here. Probably not a healthy thing. ;)

I got my little 2013 Subaru WRX up to 154MPH very late at night on a long, walled-in portion of freeway that I pre-drove to check for debris. That's darn fast for a little 4 cylinder non-STI. Only did that twice...(2nd time to beat my previous high of 150). Not sure if it had a governor, but if so I got around it with a custom tune. The speedo hit the top pin-stop right around 154, so I figured I'd never know if it could go much faster.

Probably good I no longer have it...but for the price, the WRX is one HECK of a fun ride.

It's a short list, but hey, I'm only 30!

Had mine on the track a couple of times. Beast of a car for sure. RCF is very similar.

Yes, a great time for VW. The Corrado has a built 2930cc engine and Syncro AWD... All done back in the 90's.

Sometimes I needed to go fast, sometimes I needed to go slow, sometimes I needed to tow things, sometimes I needed to be frustrated. There were motorcycles, boats, and airplanes too. No trains though. Anyone know where I can get a train?

Someone once asked me my cylinder count. "ya know, how many cylinders are you currently directly responsible for maintaining" It was 127. Yikes. I realized I had a problem.
