I was planning to go to King Of The Hammers this year but I may just go for one day and get back for this air parade over San Diego Bay!

Ooohh... I remember when my brother was in the Navy and going on the family day cruise on the CVN-74 when they got back from the WPAC Tour... that was about 12-14 years ago... I think my son would get a kick out of this....

I was on the Midway for the show. LMAO seeing the traffic still stuck on the bridge as the show started. And that was the case 'til well after the show ended. Jesus, the 163 was stuck north of the 8 by 10 in the morning. And the repeat coming back to SD side.
I guess my only complaint was the sun was in our eyes for a little. Oh well. The CVW-9 (Shogun) flyover was absolutely the most amazing sight. Never seen a formation a MILE wide! I'm sure 90% of SD was not prepared for that.

Yeah we crossed the bridge at 8:00 and it took us 2 hrs from the start of the bridge to parking at the far north end of the base. We were in the car headed back for the shogun flyover. We didn't want to spend another 2 hrs coming back. So it was just under an hour coming back.

Yeah. Well spent 4 hours from Golden Hill to the lot at NASNI. 6.0 miles it was pretty bad but once we were on the 5 there was pretty much no turning back. It worked out great as we were at the apex of the bridge at the start of the airshow and saw the finale 25'ish plane fly over from the base.
Definetly will bicycle to the ferry and take to Coronado next time they have an airshow or race event.
