Update

Ok, well here is the most recent update. The springs are currently on the way to us. I dont anticipate seeing them for about 3 weeks or so. We are getting a variety of things in, 40, 60, and possibly a few sets for mini's. I will definately make a new page for the springs and list them on the main page of our site. I am still waiting for the shipping and customs info so I can get final pricing to list for everyone. Thanks for your patience!

Steve

I havent mentioned them to too many people, I hate raving about a product we dont have. Plus I dont have the complete pricing yet, which is the first question people ask. Your welcome for the help, you can call me anytime!

HOLY CR*P! Is it actually happening? Is someone in the US actually getting them : )

I remember watching this thread when it first started and noone could get answers. PLEASE keep us up to date!

Thanks
Brian

As previously stated, I am also very interested. I asked a couple of questions a while back, I don't think an answer was posted:
-will the parobolics account for the famous cruiser lean?
-will the parabolics have correction for caster (i think that's the right name)?

I thought for caster correction you have the shims ..

Can we get Jim to give us an update on how these springs have held up? It has been a couple of years now and it would be interesting to see what he thinks of them. Hey Jim chime in!

I live in the netherlands, as Paul of TIC parabolic 4x4 suspension systems does.

I bought a set of springs from him a year ago, but they inverted :crybaby: and today I went to his shop to collect a new set.

In front of his shop there were 3 stacks of springs ready to be picked up. I asked Paul if these were the ones you guys were waiting for and this was the case!!! Just for two weeks no pickup. even today Paul thought they should be picked up, but no one came. He did not know if MAF were sending them by air or boat.

So if MAF organises it, they will come your way. Steve, please get them to a boat or plane, cause they are ready as they will ever be.

Tomorrow I will mount the new set i picked up today and see if the shackels will settle alright. I talked to Paul about the cruiser lean, the only thing he could do for me was to look in his computer to see which spring (they are all individually numbered by him) was more positive or negative after testing.

Hope you guys will receive them soon!!!:grinpimp:

if they inverted then you need longer shackles preferably anti-inversion shackles

No, I can't use the other springs. An anti-reversal shackle is no solution, it just prevents the invertion. The springs inverted because of the arch / bow of the spring in comparison to the weight it takes to open up en the length of the spring.

If a spring is the normal length (TIC springs are even 15 mm longer) but more arched then you can't solve this with shackles. either you make the spring extra long or you reduce the arch.

The old set was arched for much more weight than a standard cruiser (mine is a 4 cilinder diesel). They can work for the 6 cilinder petrol engines, for the front springs. in the back there is no weight, so the new set of springs is less arched.

I think Paul has improved the arch / length of the springs, so i hope you guys won't have any problems.

Parabolics are in, we are still doing final fitment and testing. When they are available for sale they will definately be up on the main page of site.

Steve

Maybe this was stated earlier. . . haven't read through this thread in a while.

What series did you get (FJ40,55,60, etc)?
Any idea's on prices?
Will you be posting here when available?

This is more for personal interest, but any chance of a one inch lower than stock version?
I SOA'd and got 6-6.5" and was only looking for 5", now my 35's look too small :(

Thanks
Brian

MAF

MAF is already advertising the springs in Trails so the fitment and testing must have been done. Steve... pics please!

If I did not have a lift on already, then I would just buy the dang things from europe, ship them here, and get these pics up and test them. Man this has taken a long time, and I am gettin impatient. So......

Let's see some pics! Please.
