1971 FJ55 Gray and White Anyone have the paint code for the gray? Thanks

My 71 55 has the original grey/white paint.I can look at the color code mounted on the truck,if someone can remind me where to look.Is it the plate on the door jam or inner fender.Ill look tomorrow

I looked at the data plates under hood and on drivers door jam no paint codes either place. I'd like to order some spray touch-up paint but need a code to order it .

Hi guys I still need the code for FJ55 gray My pig is white and gray and I'm unable to find the code listed anywhere for 1971 Gray. Help please I've checked door jam, firewall, and fender plates no color codes listed.

My '76 has codes on the firewall plate. Why not post a picture of the firewall plate and maybe someone can read it or interpret it?

I have a friend that can tell me the mixing porsentages so you can go to the local shop to make the mix.

Im pretty sure this has to be called gray or grey??? I know the green and its not green it's clearly grey/gray.

I'll post a picture of the firewall plate but as a little background I was a Toyota Factory service rep in the early 70s so i'm pretty familiar with the plates and data. But I'm willing to give it a whirl - As an old guy I've forgotten a lot more than I ever knew then and maybe somebody can crack the code.

Here's a picture of the pig if it will help plate pic will have to come tomorrow.

silver/grey is T450 but they dont show it in a 2 tone color scheme for a 71,only solid

In '71 I don't think that the paint color was listed on the tags. I know on my '71 I couldn't find it. Mine had been repainted twice, a solid white, and then a redish color, before I finally found the nebula green underneath. I would do some searching and see if you can find the base color underneath. I am not sure that grey was a color option in '71.

Totally possible as my '67 FJ45LV doesn't even have a VIN plate, just the VIN number on the frame horn!!

No codes on the plates on firewall or door jam Over the weekend I scraped a small place and she's gray/grey down to the whiteish factory primer. She has the standard two tone color lines so I'm pretty sure she's factory grey/gray.

I've checked the paint charts here at a couple cruiser vendors and at a couple of paint sellers that will do factory colors for you.

My next step is to check with a body shop to see if they have any resources. Maybe they can give me something that's really close --- did Yugo have a gray color? Thanks for all the help guys.

i have something in my notes about a code t450 gray used on pigs, but not sure...you might check and see if you can find a color chart with that to match to your rig

Yes Cygnus white is #012.

My Pig is June 71 Production date. I've scraped a few places down to metal also. I guess they built a few gray (grey) and white vehicles but they never made any of the spec sheets I've been able to find. The 450 looks close so far. I'm locked to repaint the truck the same color because i spent some good money to already powdercoat the wheels to match the truck. Besides i like the color gray (grey) whatever the code is.

Thanks ----- yep the white is 12 it's available from Cruiser Corps I think as rattle can
