No worries man, we'll wave to you as we're driving on the road and see you parked at the gas station! 🖐️ j/k
I'm at peace with my natural habitat. Or maybe it's more of a breeding ground, because once you've been, you get to have even more fun. Like a whale mawing up krill at the warm surface, only to go somewhere cooler again after.

On one of my customizable screens in the gauge cluster, I selected the map to appear in the center space. I've noticed if I turn my truck off while the big center screen nav map is active, the little map in my gauge cluster will load correctly in the gauge cluster the next time I start my vehicle. But, if the radio was the last thing showing on my main center screen when I turn off the truck, when I start it up again the map in my gauge cluster will not load. I don't know if I explained this very well, but didn't know if anyone else had experienced this.

I've attached a couple of pics. My gauge cluster map should always load, but it doesn't sometimes. Just a quirky little glitch, maybe?
(and yes, I'm aware the gauge cluster map is not helpful, but it looks better with the map than it does being blank gosh-darn-it!)

Are you serious? The 250 has a tiny tank and from what I have heard is not getting 40mpg, so you probably equal (if not less) to a 200 in range. More likely you will both be side by side filling up in the station. BTW, does the 250 really needs premium like some reviewers said? That would sting.

GX has been pretty solid and flawless - minus the crappy 3m PPF they installed at the port. I have had to have 3 pieces replaced under warranty.

The only gripe I have is the small fuel tank...really need to start looking for an alternative for longer range (got really spoiled by the Tundra w/ the extended fuel tank).

I also find the transmission hunting for gears a bit at low speeds but nothing I can't live with.

As many have said, we all want some added range… please sign up on Long Range America for wanting an aux tank, the more they hear that the community will support the faster they will template one. I’ve offered up my 550 but they don’t see enough immediate demand to want to prototype.

the "j/k" at the end of my post meant I was just making an attempt at a funny comeback. I didn't say my comeback was any good! So NO, I was not serious in my comeback. Yes, the 250 tank is small, I agree. Yes, having to use premium fuel is not the greatest thing ever. Please pardon my terrible attempt at a humorous post. LOL

It was pretty easy to turn off. You turn it off in the gauge cluster menus. Once off, it stays off.

Settings>vehicle settings>driver monitoring settings

I guess that is pretty deep in the settings..

Thank you, I tried this setting and it worked great. Now I can drive with one hand at the 12 o'clock and not get beeped at cuz I'm blocking the sensor.
I also de-activated the the thing where the vehicle slows down in a curve when the cruise control is on. That was very annoying - especially here in WV where straight sections of road are harder to come by.

Response form Long Range America after I shot them an email via their website…

“Good news the Aussies are getting the LC250 in the coming months. So, this will speed up our development process. I would think by Q2 next year we should know what the tank is going to look like.”

I wonder if the 110 L tank can be fit to US spec models? If so, it would probably be simpler and much cheaper.

Any one know what these are? A cover came out and I saw this underneath.

Trying to judge if this is a cause for concern - get some clicking when accelerating.

Can only hear it when I am next to a barrier or cars and have the widows down, but I am not sure if this is normal and expected, drivetrain issues, or even just engine noise with the little 4 banger.

Anybody else get the same, or should I hit the dealership?

From what I gather, it’s normal. I can hear it in drive throughs, and if it’s idling you can tell it’s not a pleasant engine noise.

I just drove from AZ to MI, stopping overnight once. Just a hair over 2,000 miles put on the LC since Friday. Two adults, two large dogs, and some baggage on board. Adaptive cruise for most of the drive, set between 72-80. Average MPG is 18.1 for the trip.

Now, I do have KO3s on (and a full size spare) so I’m not upset. Just wish I could have a larger tank, so I could break past 300 miles per tank with ease. Filling up and seeing somewhere in the 270-280 range is kind of a bummer.

I’ve noticed that the hybrid gauge doesn’t really show any use while using adaptive cruise, but there’s usually between 3-7.5lbs of boost while cruising at speed, and obviously a spike when accelerating. I wonder if it doesn’t use the battery much while in cruise, resulting in some loss of efficiency? If I don’t use cruise and try to hold a certain speed, I notice the battery is used much more often.

Overall, the 250 performed well, was comfortable, and had no issues.

Often when a clicking sound is heard when driving next to the crash barrier — it’s an exhaust sound.
Maybe not so with your vehicle but it’s pretty common.

Here was a new discovery for me today. The GX can wash the rear camera and the rear windows from the touchscreen when in reverse. Here is the display view and the close up. I noticed it backing out of spot at Lowe’s today.

LC folks - I would think same/same?

Ok, About 5,700 mi in my J250.

About 2 weeks ago, we had a snowstorm and wow, I guess these new cars do not like snow. All the sensors were going off that they were being obstructed. Not a big problem. Just a slight annoyance.

So, for some 2,000 mi now, my J250 will make screeching noises. I finally figured it out. When I'm reversing and pressing on the brakes, it will screech. Out of all the things I've been in with this car/truck, this is my biggest issue. As this was an issue with my dad's 2000 Tundra in the late 2010s. So in other words, it sounds like the brakes or something was badly made. My dealership appointment is gonna be in 2-3 weeks for tire rotation, so I'll bring this up with the other issues that happened during the snowstorm.

The brake squeal while reversing is a known issue on both the 250 & 550. There is already a TSB out there so your dealer should cover this for you. It calls for a new set of pads and shims. You can find a copy of the TSB here:

Alright,
This may have been covered already but I have an HVAC observation/question. When the HVAC is in auto and the heat comes on, it just seems to burble and make some strange blowing sounds with no notable airflow anywhere. If I manually change the mode, i.e. feet, face, windshield, the heat absolutely blasts. Am I missing a setting? In my 100 series I never touch any HVAC controls, just occasional mirror or windshield defrost, and it's always comfortable/quiet.

I have to be missing something...
