2001 LC. Had the factory running boards but did not have lights. I looked under the rocker panel area and did not see plugs coming out though.
With the LC, you don't have the same mounting locations as the LX that these lights use. I'm hoping to develop some brackets for the LC, but it's proving more difficult since I really want them to be as good as the LX lights.

Stay tuned. I'm really hoping this summer I'll be able to get a few more products done. I'm hoping to finish the current list before HIH then start having the brackets CNC cut for me. That will free up a lot of my time to get to other products.

I can build the mounts no problem.
If the wiring is there just no external plug I'd gladly buy the kit sans mounts.

I just don't know how to go about wiring the lights into the parking sensor setup from scratch. At that point it'd be easier to buy a stand alone rock light kit that's on a remote.

Run a power wire through the driver's side floor grommet to the driver's kick panel and tap the overhead lights circuit with an add a circuit. That stock running boards lights on my LX would come on with the overhead light when you clicked the remote to open the doors

for the mounts, I used the bolt from the running boards to put a set of single row18w LED lights on each side. I had already bought the plugs and lights before this kit got started, otherwise I would have bought his.

What kind of wattage LED could I power this way? I'm guessing not very much as it's just sending power to the dome light?

You should relay the system using power from the battery, with the done circuit acting as the relay switch. That would be a phenomenal setup.

I'm working on getting this kit working on the LC. It will take more work, but it's been done by one member so far. I'm hoping to have a LC kit with directions, ready to by with no list by the end of August.

That doesn't mean that you can't make something up yourself though. I'm just making these kits to make life easier for most. It's by no means something super difficult if you have wiring and fab skills.

Are you still taking orders? I'd like to get on the list if that's cool. Full kit with the rock kit.

Thanks for the interest. I'm in the process of making these readily available to purchase online. It's coming together nicely and I hope to have them ready in the next week or two. I'll bump this thread with instructions, so keep an eye out.

I love mine. The lights cut off nicely.
My wife (who is not seeing as well as she used to) loves seeing the ground before putting her feet down.
Side benefit of being able to work under rig in darkness and have a some ambient light bouncing up.
Great product and easy install.

The list is done. I haven't taken anymore orders. Plan is to make them available on my website when I get a big chunk of them completed.
Excellent, I need a set for the wife's rig!

These are back on sale and are now CAD designed and laser cut!!!! Owlexpedition.com

I was hoping to have a more universal product finished by now, but have hit a lot of obstacles. I think i'm close, but I have been sitting on a lot of lights that I need to start making some money back on.

Here is a teaser of the hopeful future!

Yes, that's a LC with the lights!

For the LC crew, please hold tight! I'm working as quickly as possible to make these work. I'm stuck on the last step, but will hopefully have it ironed out soon. For the LX people with corroded factory connectors, hold tight as well! The final kit I sell will have everything you need to replace your factory connectors from under the truck.

So for now, I only recommend LX470 owners with good factory connectors to grab these if they want them. The final kit will cost a bit more, but will include a lot of extras to make these work on any 100 series as door activated puddle AND switchable rock lights using any style switch. The difficulty is working around Toyotas negative switching and the PWM of the lights (want to maintain the nice fade on/off).

For any LX470 who buys these now, I will sell the rest of the kit at a slightly discounted price when its ready. For now I only recommend using the lights as door activated puddle lights though.

Thanks for your business guys/gals! I really enjoy making these but struggle with time due to my day job, so I really appreciate your
patients.

SWEET!! I am definitely interested in a pair for my LC when they become available. I love the fact that they can be used as switchable rock lights in addition to puddle lights.

I can't tell you guys how awesome these are. A unique benefit I have is that it allows enough ambient light to make getting a kiddo out of the car easy in the dark, without waking him up.

Wow, that's a good looking LC. ;)

Need that LC kit stat!
