You know, I had this dash apart before. I thought I wouldn't have to open the thing again
Now, here I am...lol

My original dash support was cut by some PO, so I took the time to weld in a piece I cut out of a spareI had laying around. I'd have used the spare, but it is grey.

More of it is done! Radsupport , radiator, ps pump.other odds and ends under hood. Getting close to turning the key to check that all systems are good.

Fuel tank is on but not after brand new oem sender and fuel pickup, replaced the clutch slave with a brand new one I found in my stash, got the fuel line connected, bolted the front fenders fully, swapped the AC switch with a spare, mine was hacked, etc, etc. Getting there. Hoping to get fuel in it tomorrow and give it a go. I have to install the battery trays and get some new batteries to see if she turns.
Cheers all.

Very cool.. check the intake for rags!

Wow! Amazing to hear it run again! After some good amount of bleeding the fuel system, like a couple hours of that, she finally started! Holy crap! After shutting it down to check for leaks and such, I restarted it. The starter merely had to simply bump the engine and it started right up. I'm super pleased. I will get a bit of video done, but this is a huge milestone. I can now get her back together in hurried fashion. And just in time for summer too!

Superb.. keen to see a video of it running!

Are you sure it was a fuel bleeding issue that caused the starting challenge? They normally bleed pretty easily - maybe it was a glow issue?

Hey, yeah, they bleed easy, very easy, but turns out it was sucking air at the fuel water separator bleeder screw on top. I put a new o ring on that tiny fella and it's perfect now. I jerry rigged a bottle of fuel just before the lift pump, to try to see if the issue was in the system after it. Runs great, had the coolant system burped, p's and t's are spec.

Good diagnosis!
