That square-ended leaf is an add-a-leaf if I were to venture a guess. Toyota leaves are all tapered. That tells me that someone had that pack apart and reconfigured it. No clue why they didn't do the other side, but I'd get it out of there.
I imagine it was because of "LandCruiser Lean". Looks like it might have worked.

I took half an hour today to pull my oil pressure relief valve out, (I am running the extended one). Even after replacing the regular factory one with the long one, my oil pressure always went past 100psi at cold idle. What is funny is that at normal op temps, the truck ran between 60 and 70 psi at normal engine speeds and I have seen as low as 12psi at normal op temps at idle. After cutting off one coil off the spring, it idled at 80psi cold and once warmed up, the pressure never dropped below 20psi! I went driving and now it runs at 70 to 80 psi at normal speeds! I am happy with the outcome to say the least. I will do more driving to see what is up and will be reporting back.
I am not sure why the pressure was lower before relieving the spring a tad at normal op temps but it looks like it behaves better now.

I really have too invest in a Redarc equlizer. If I don’t keep my low battery on the tender overnight, it weakens to the point of losing starting charge. I only have the constants connected to it. Definitely need an equilizer. If I invest in that, my truck is Golden! Anyone know of a good source that offers a discount? I really would appreciate it.
Cheers

Took two hours to remove the Old Man Emu lift from my spare truck. The lift was newish when I got the vehicle, so it just sat but I dont foresee issues. I am doing the rear first. Everything is out, I now have to clean all the parts, the shackles, bolts, etc and start the dismantle on my truck. Since I had the axle out this past fall, I am thinking everything will go together easily. I had to use a breaker bar on half the u-bolt nuts as my impact gun was not powerfull 3enough.

I just finished installing the rear lift on my truck. Pretty straight forward, I had the rears out before, and so all the bolts were easy to remove. I went for a drive and its great! I just have to do the front now. The only downside is that I stopped by my mailbox after the test drive to get the mail and I introduced a giant spider from the mail box into my truck! He ran into the bottom of the b pillar! Lol. Here are before and after photos.

Rusty as it is, it's still a damn cool truck! Plus, it runs so good...

Quick update, since mice had nested above the headliner and made the passenger rear corner their latrine during the last year and a half while the truck sat, I decided to tear the interior and to remove the headliner, and then while at it, perhaps fix rhe rust holes I will be encountering. Made a bit of progress.

What you see on the floor is what I found. It is some sort of sound deadener. Of course, the infamous hole in the wheel well on the left will need fixing. I have my spare truck for that, hopefully I can use the seat back hinges together with the sheet metal from that.

I am not going to replace the headliner but rather apply dynmat or quiet crap, and leave it at that. I may take a different approach ala the fj40's, where I may apply some sort of vinyl or leather directly over the sound deadener. Will see what I decide later on.
I will also strip the gutters and repair, reseal and repaint them.

I am also not sure if I should remobe the existing sound deadening to look for rust, or leave it in place. It is very difficult to remove.

I know I am thinking to remove it and just to lay down the foamy stuff.
I will see.

My seats need a thorough cleaning. Have no idea how to approach the issue. I do not have a steamer. Any suggestions?

The mouse piss was so nasty in the corner, that I almost barfed!

The headliner was in horrid shape! I have employed the use of a grinder with a wire brush which did a good job of cleaning up the remaining jute still stuck to the roof.
