Here's an example of Mikes "new style" bumper from Bump It Offroad. I went with this design because it was the most unique option available at the time and no other Cruiser in my town has one so it's kinda cool to stick out from the crowd! Plus, Mike is super cool and is willing to work around any modifications you would like to make to it.

^who built that? That's what I wanted instead of my Slee but it was $$$$

I want the one on top....but not chrome, all black.

After having my BIO bumper for a couple of years I would go this route instead. Less weight and better ground clearance. Only thing I would add to it are some tabs to bolt on addition pieces of aluminum to hide the under carriage below the front head lights.

Phil, did you take any pics of how that tube bumper mounts up to the frame? Frame modifications? I'm contemplating designing a tube bumper for my new 100. At first I thought a tube bumper was a bad idea on a 100 but after seeing a couple now, the idea is starting to grow on me. I am also VERY interested in the BIO "new" front bumper. Just not sure that will fit into the budget. A tube bumper designed and built by me will definitely fit into the budget.

What does the "underdawg" bumper look like? Cost? Anyone have one and care to share their thoughts?

UnderDawg built a one-off custom bumper for the 100 series. He said at the time that it was too labor intensive to build.

You might find him on the 80-series forum.

Underdawg is no longer a vendor. I'm not sure what happened but I think some guys were having problems with his stuff so he deleted his vendor status and his Facebook page was gone last time I checked.
One thing you may want to think of is weight. Some of these bumpers can be very heavy and it will have a negative effect on your suspension! My bumper only weighs about 85lbs without the bull bar and with the modular design you could even do tubular wings if you wanted. Plus you mentioned budget, I think mine is probably the lowest priced on the market and if you can weld it could cost you as little as $600 for the DIY.

Here are a couple pictures of the Slee "BlueBerry" front bumper on mine. Yes $$, but the build quality is outstanding. I needed to replace the oem after my son hit a deer. The check from the insurance covered about half the cost of the Slee. And I echo the weight concerns, upgrades to the suspension is in the plans.
