El cucuy took a beating and just kept going like a machine.
and Frances can hit!!!

yeah it was an awesome card. Even the prelims were good.
I like it better with no crowd.

I don't know how he stayed standing for that long. It was a bit scary. Sucks he took the fight and lost when he deserves that chance with khabib.

Oh yea I enjoyed the prelims and all. The fact that cowboy was a prelim just shows how great it was.

It was fun being able to hear the corners coaching without the crowds

Thought I would mention here, I was driving my fj40 from Raleigh to RTP a while back, and managed to blow my head gasket. It was a bummer as the engine was running great and even had a recent compression test and things were overall great.

I used it as an excuse to have some additional work done. I don't have the time or space myself, so I reached out to Carolina Offroad Outfitters in Raleigh. They are doing a r2.8 Cummins diesel swap along with an h55. They have started posting pictures on Facebook so if you are interested check it out there. Carolina OffRoad Outfitters

Is that the new engine that came out a couple years ago? If so, are you the first FJ40 swap around here?
Yeah, that's the crate engine that they came out with as part of their "repower" program. It's based on an international ISF2.8 diesel they have had for a few years. It's assembled and shipped from Indiana, although it has parts in common with the overseas version.

I'm not sure if I'm the first, I know Carolina Offroad Outfitters bought the crate engine for a fj60 guy back in January, but they didnt do the swap.

Very cool. I've driven the 60 series Tor Fab did to here, stock with the H55 and tuned with the six speed auto. Great little engine. He did manage to pretzel his driveshaft with his first burnout after the tune.

I can't remember exactly but I think it was over 400 ft/lbs on the dyno.

I haven't driven the 40 he did yet.

I heat the house and shop with wood
Bought a new high efficiency wood stove for the house last year that requires well seasoned wood. Can't be found around here so I am stocking up.
So I bought these and pulled the tanks out. Will stack them two high! Can shuttle them to the house and shop one at a time. 17 of them to fill. There will be a shed roof over them by end of summer.

40 Years ago today... missed the actual time by about 90 minutes but got stuck on a conference call.

This event, when I learned about it and traveled there many times when I was a kid, captured my imagination. I, like many kids, was fascinated by this and other natural and man made tragedies.

We had a booking to be up there at one of the lodges yesterday and today for the anniversary but with the Covid we had to cancel our plans.

These pictures above still amaze me even more so that they survived the superheated flow while the photographer did not.

thank you lawd jesus for the ARB bumper bar... this morning I had to go into work and got ran off the road by someone merging into my lane (after merging out of it seconds prior). i jumped the curb, hit the railing, and so far this is the only signs of any damage:

I was fully expecting a huge gash going down my passenger side.

It's a heep thing.

Quote: "We been in quarantine, and I need to get out and party," beachgoer Chelsey Coyer told KBMT, reminding people how to take precautions. "Wash them hands for 20 seconds and keep them clean with the Germ-X."

Wait until you smack the ever-loving crap out of one of those rocks that jump out at you on the trail!
Rocks dont move that much down Uwharrie way. But trees move at Hussein Bolt speed, and find your blind spots

I'd like that - if I didn't see it 200 times already. That's the one complaint I have about streaming, they repeat the same commercials over and over. Dammit GOODRX!

Yeah. I haven't had regular TV in 13 years. I think more than anything the Spotify ads get me. They have nearly beaten me into submission to pay for premium.

The Lit mobile one on youtube right now is killing me also. You can skip it but I've seen those first 7 seconds about 200 times this week.
