82 long bed from FL here for new gears, axle rebuilds and twin cases, patch floor boards and a few other things.
Looks like there are markings for a bed bob? Please say it aint so.
Those beds are gold. Why anyone would cut one up is beyond me.
not sure how much everyone is following the VW crap this week but figured with all the diesel heads in the group some would.

The owner has not mentioned it to me at this point but the tape is on both sides and most do not mask off a strip with electrical tape. The distance between cab and tire is shorter on a short bed so can not be used. A big reason that they have become gold is they are rust buckets around the gate and so many of them were cut down on trucks just like this one. Right wheel base but too much departure angle issues with full bed.
Oh I am aware....I tried to track down a decent bed for my 81.

We've got one similar to that down here in the ILM. Typically pulling a big-a** cigarette boat on a 4 axle trailer.
It was parked at 401 Oberlin last Wednesday night when I drove by.
First time i'd seen it.

Just came in from watching bats (3) around the pole light above the feed shed. We've had one all summer and he kept the bugs down pretty well, now he has had a couple pals the last two weeks. Cool!! They are interesting to watch at dusk. Hoping they stay around and make it through winter.
^^Love bats - I love anything that eats mosquitoes. We have a TON of Orbital Spiders around the house. I love them, too 
Can you catch one and bring it to my house? We have way too many bugs.

We are hoping that they stay through the winter. May build a bat box but the only place to put it now is a building that will be coming down for a new barn some time in the future.

I was just made aware of this today. You can buy yourself a brand new big rig, say a Peterbuilt with everything but the motor and trans, it is called a Glider Kit. Apparently this is well know among the trucking industry but it allows you to re use your old, pre emissions, motor in your brand new truck.
