Very cool.

I wonder if you could figure out a way to make hubs and power like this. Maybe a portal axle with an e charger on the drive gear.

The hub would regenerate electricity on braking and provide power when needed. Switch the transfer case to neutral, the engine idles to power ac and power steering and the car runs off the hubs only for street driving.

Retrofitting existing cars is the key to this electric power. Solar panel home roof, charging battery pack in garage, car recharges off the battery pack without the 100k telsa as the car needed to make this happen.

My wife and I rescue a lot of dogs and work with a few rescues and foster one of our fosters is a blue nose pit that was literally skin and bones when we got her a little over a year ago and she is now healthy enough to go to a forever home the rescue we rescued her for has folded so wanted to see if anyone is interested in a beautiful dog. she is good with all of our dogs has not been around children but loves people and responds very well in public. my wife is very anal about where she will go and would want to remain in contact with whomever her new parents are. PM me for pics or questions.

Some day I will own a rotary RX7, maybe even with a 4 rotor:

I had a 3rd Gen RX7 before buying my FZJ80. Obviously didn't have a 4 rotor engine, but the twin turbo 13B put out more than enough HP to keep a smile on my face. I did a few mild upgrades on the engine, but you want to talk about a car that was finicky... Fast and Furious had just hit the theaters so folks were upgrading their rice burners without much regard to consequence. Many RX7's suffered because the Wankels require so much tuning to get right without blowing the Apex seal. Mine ran great but the kid that bought it promptly blew the engine and replaced it with a Camaro.

The local owner of a race shop imported several 20B 3 rotor engines that sounded similar to the engine in the video. The sound was unforgettable, I could hear the car coming up the road while I was at work. Truly impressive - and despite having every tool you could want for a small race shop, he couldn't tune them perfectly and eventually blew 3 engines in his personal RX7. Still, dat sound!

Wow, combining two really expensive things....80 series engines, and yeti cups... How long did you mortgage the house for for that one? ;)

Yeti acquisition = Northwest Guilford High unclaimed lost & found. :D

Made a 1900 mile round trip down to sanibel island in fl and back in the gx470. Averaged 21 mpg on the trip. 19-20mpg on 93 oct ethanol fuel, and 22.4 mpg on 89 octane ethanol free gasoline. That was running 70 or so on the interstate, drafting semi's when possible. best tank was 428 miles on 18.1 gallons of eth free 89 octane gas, running ac for part of the trip. gotta love having a stock vehicle with no mods and street tires. FL is great given how many boats they have, Eth Free gas is sold at one of the larger convenience store chains (Wawa). It was the same price as 93 eth.

Installed my homemade backseat mattress pad, and made curtains for the rear windows and back side glass for the wife. She got to konk out and sleep most of the way there and home.

Went from mid 80s and sunshine to 40s and rain...that was totally uncool.

Brought back about 45 lbs of shells for her. I'm guessin the 470 has earned a name, narrowed down to either Shelly, or Sandy, given the amount of sand inside. We did have to leave behind a pair of large conch shells, since they were occupied with living creatures, as well as a bunch of various sized whelks.

Grew up in Miami in the 70's and spent many spring breaks at Sanibel Island.....thanks for sparking some great childhood memories!

Said creatures make tasty stew :)

Yep, they do, but are better as fritters....except its illegal for live shelling, and when you walk out off the sandbar carrying something that big, people tend to crowd around you and gawk.

You'd be surprised at how many natives continued to eat Conch in the Keys. Natives are called "Conchs"

Conch was available, imported. For those of us not willing to pouch

Quick parts question:

My son's door handle (1985 fj60) has come loose. One of the bolts that holds it on must have shaken off - unfortunately, it's nowhere to be seen and I didn't want to remove the other one to figure out size/length.

Anyone have a clue what size bolt it is? Gotta grab one at lunch today.

Or perhaps a better question:

What sizes are most common on these trucks - I'm going to buy a package of each to have on hand.

Some of you might want the LC stickers they have. I'd never heard of this place until today.
Sackwear

I love the designs they make. Never bought any of their shirts though because every time I email them or ask on their facebook page about Tall sizes I get the same answer. We are working with our vendor on that and will have them available soon..... Same answer for 5 years now :censor:
