Holy $&!t. I'm seriously surprised no one stopped the driver (and on another note was there even a spotter?) long enough to clear the area. I honestly can't imagine that scenario with our club without at least 3 others saying something.

I can't agree more, that scenario was sketchy from the beginning. Spectators scare the hell out of me, people walking near a moving vehicle scares the hell out of me. I have seen enough close calls over the years with both full size rigs and ATVs to always be wary when people are on foot near the trail.

On an upbeat not, I agree with Rice also that we all make bad choices out on the trail, we are fortunate to have those in this club willing to speak up and "chat" about a line etc. Safety always has to be the #1 concern

At least this version puts it a little more in perspective. I saw two guys up a head a little probably watching and spotting from afar, but Hendog was just chilling out not paying attention. Glad he's Ok...

I'm not really a jeep fan unless you talk Willys but this isn't a bad look. Not sure what's up with the chain on the next rig.

The AEV Brutes are very nice trucks, but also very expensive.

For that kinda dough, I'll take a mid 90s 75 Ute with an original bed and some cash to rebuild it to like new condition and some more cash to actually enjoy using it with.

If that Brute has the Hemi conversion in it, it is easily a six figure build.

Hemi ... In a pickup you say...

The brutes are nice. Even before you add the Mopar for mo powa

I spent some time out logging in GPS #s for boundary pins put in by the surveyors last week. This is the back corner of our property, spring fed. There are beaver dams both upstream and down stream from the spot where the photo is taken. This is also a major drainage ravine down to the lake, 5 minute walk from this spot. During a big storm I've seen water better than 4' deep here and running fast.

Every year for the All-star race some friends and I have a big tailgate party at the race track. We rent two RV spots, set up pop up tents, a projection screen with satellite, several corn hole tournaments, a BBQ medal winner as our chef for the day, and beer. We have been doing this for about 10 years now and we usually have between 30-50 people float in and out.

If anyone is planning to attend the race you could join us before the race. There is plenty of free parking near our spots. If you are not going to the race but like to have a good time, come on out. We do not go into the race, we just watch it on the projection screen. We have a blast and is about the only time all year I drink to excess.

The race is scheduled for Saturday 5/16. We will be out there Friday night and all day Saturday.

If anyone is interested in joining us PM me for directions to our RV spots. BYOB, there will be plenty of food to eat.

Got to say that was a nice tailgating set up lowtops had out there. We went to the race and were able to stop by for a few minutes. If anyone is going to next year's race it's worth stopping by to hang out.

Brad, nice to meet you and that's a sharp 40 you've got.
Thanks for the hospitality,
Sean

@SeanLX
It was nice to meet you and your family. Thanks for the kind words. We have had several years to get the formula right for our tailgate party.
I hope we did not scare you off early, we were in full swing when you got there.

Nice evening.

Decided to do a cruise-in at local festival, invited Jason and James to join in, and one of the event leaders had a stock '74 there as well.

Bezel issue mentioned. Otherwise he just sounded happy to talk to someone that was familiar with the rig. He purchased 10 years ago, gave it some paint, and it sounds like it sat after that. Good to see it out.

A little tailgate dining, beer, and juice boxes after the cruise-in.

So I finally removed the brush guard off the front of my truck. Anyone have any tips on what to do with this thing? Doesn't seem like there's a market to try and sell for a few bucks. Do I just take it to a landfill?

I took mine to a landfill. Tried to give it away several times, but no joy...
