How many other people missed the news this week about the Japanese guy who spent an hour killing disabled people with a knife in a care home? 19 dead and 26 wounded. Largest mass murder in Japan since WW2.

Not trying to start a political debate or discussion here. Just wondering why this didn't get the press that the German mall shooting did this past weekend. Never mind. Just figured it out.

It's a shame. Old media is only there to sensationalize fears. That isn't as scary as a Middle Eastern person shooting people.

Strange.... I saw it on CNN, fox and one of the local news stations as well as in quite a few Facebook posts.

And I believe it was actually the largest killing since the bride butchered the crazy 88 while looking for Bill.

I guess it is just not big enough news or does not fit into the agendas of the "news" agencies. The mass killing in Japan was done with blades, horrific indeed yet very little press on it here. If I were a conspiracy theorist I might just think it does not play well into the gun control movement.

It would seem that mass killings have gotten so mainstream that unless there is a hook there is only minor mention and certainly nothing past a 24 hour news cycle.
