I got all the weatherstripping from Off Road West. For the wing windows, we're going to reuse the originals since they were in pretty good shape. For the rear cargo windows, you have two options-- Off Road West sells W/S in rolls which match original profile. Or you can try Evan Jenkins method of using a front windshiel W/S (string on birfield.com). I'm going to try the second option first.
Also, Dearborn got a message recently from someone who claims to be coming out with repro W/S in about 4 weeks.
Tailgat scrapers came from Off Road West and I think I have all the rest from them too. We'll know soon enough.

Try offroadwest.com. Ask for Jim.

Uh, O.K. Maybe one more pic. Here is the rear view...

Yell at me if I am invading your post, Porterda.

You're not hijacking anything--we're all in this together.

Porterda-

Those are great prep pics of the Herculiner install...I have read a bunch of threads about this process and gleaned a boat-load of info about how to apply it. Thought I would pick your brain a little. Is the grey color just a reg. primer coat? Is it some sort of rust inhibitor also? I have some Herculiner and am planning on lining the interior in my trail pig, basically exactly what you have done. Any pointers? Did you spray or roll? How many coats did you apply? How much Herc did you go through? More than a gallon? What are you initial thoughts about the product and how it will work? This may be a lot to ask, I apologize. Sometimes I get a little carried away. Great job again on the resto and thanks for sharing your hard work and experiences. It is very motivating!

Carlos,
As I said in a previous post, one of the things I've learned is that Herculiner is easy to put on but hard work to prep for.
To answer your questions:
-- The gray primer is just Rustoleum rust preventive auto primer out of a can. I just sprayed it on after two days of wire brushing, sanding, and scuffing with a Scotchbrite pad.
-- I painted the seams and corners with a brush (per the instructions) and rolled the rest. Others on this thread have sprayed with good results but I was afraid of screwing up my pretty new paint job.
-- I used one gallon which gave me two coats over the entire surface with a third coat on the front floorboards.
-- As for pointers, the best advice I can give is that surface prep is the key and make sure you don't get any of the stuff on you because it DON'T come off. I think there is a thread somewhere about someone who got this stuff on a rather delicate part of his anatomy and it wouldn't come off.
I hope this helps.

Ah yes... old post but I wanted to see more pics of the finished product. Also how did all the sound proofing work for you? Man thats an awefull lot of money spent on the Dynamat Xtreme. I used that on my last FJ55 project. This time Im using the Peal&Seal and I cant tell the difference. I am also interested in taking the same steps on the ceiling.

thanks
