Glad you don't see my garage right now... At least your parts are going back together!

Curious of you thoughts after some miles on the Dobinsons. I like them a lot in my 80, and truly hate the ARBs in the 60
the no load shackle angle is much better than the ome stuff ive seen.
one of the guys in chat has similar sentiment about his 60.

tried to finish the steering. ran out of weld wire.
did get front diff setup.

I would assume that section is prone to cracking in normal use or hard use? I am not familiar with mini frames..

may or may not be a little overkill.
have to make new holes swapping from the original box (think fj40) to the new box (think 60/80 )
quite a bit of force potentially on the frame there, especially without hydro assist. mini frames are prone to cracking period.

today I pressed the rear axle bearings off.
removed the LSPV and related brake lines and fittings.
found out I still have the wrong spring plate.
still waiting on parts for the limited slip

ok, so yesterday i spent all day rebuilding the lsd unit and installing into the truck v6 carrier. no pics, sorry.
should be plenty of info on the vid.

today i tightened up the elocker. had way too much BL. i loosened the caps to adjust and found zero preload on the carrier. cant imagine why these have failures. anyway she's very tight now.

got both diffs installed. rear axle bearings and seals installed. rear spring plates and shocks installed and torqued. still need to turn the drums and put the new shoes on, but couldn't resist putting actual wheels on.

Did you modify the seal surface of the hub to accommodate the seal?
it'll self clearance.🤣

i figured you would be right on top of this. lol
frankly it's been a non issue with the other truck. this is, kind of, more a dust seal than a seal seal. :hmm:

wasted a bunch of time today trying to fit the steering stabilizer. think it's going in the extra parts pile instead.
on the plus side, the steering shaft bolted up without mods. only spent an hour looking for the bolts....which i didn't find :bang:
