Steenh and his prize

I read your writeup and thought "that was pretty well done... didn't throw me under the bus too bad and captured the weekend"

Then I see this. :flipoff2:

Sorry Steenh, thought you would enjoy that one. Besides I thought Smitty's backing into a mountain was much worse than your loosing the tail pipe.

Would this make you feel better? again, doesn't look as bad in the picture.

Here's my story.

This was my first trip to Tellico and I'll say...I sure can't wait to go back.
My friend and I started the trip Thursday afternoon leaving Atlanta around
3pm. A small traffic jam allowed me to take a picture of a future home:

Somewhere near Ellijay, GA we stopped for BBQ at Poole's BBQ:

As we neared Tellico, we just happened to meet up with NGA-FJC at the
gas station. He was with his wife and two dogs and a camper in tow.
Since he knew the way, we followed them to the campground where
most people seemed to already be there:

The next morning the Trail Team prepared a wonderful breakfast buffet.
I was a little late, but there were just enough bits to tide me over:

Next stop was the Safety Officer and his Deputy. They made sure we
all knew the rules:

At the driver's meeting, we discussed the trails and decided to split into
several groups. With this being my first time to Tellico, I decided to start
off with the easy/moderate group for Friday's ride. I forget the exact trail
numbers, but I think they involved 5 to 4 to 1 back to 5 then a different 4
followed by a 6....there may have been a 17 and 38 and a 127 in there
somewhere, but....you get the point.
So...here are the trail pics:

I don't have the ones of me on the trail just yet, but they are coming.
When we got back to camp, the Wing massacre began! Marshall made
some amazing wings and it seems I was the only one that didn't bring
my quota of 5 gallons of Ro-tel dip! MAN THAT STUFF IS GOOD!

And of course it wouldn't be camping without the BIG SCREEN TV!

Unfortunately, I had to get back to Atlanta the next day...but I can't
wait to go back.

Steenh and his prize

Me thinks Steen needs a bigger lift and tires....first skid plate now muffler, whats next underneath?

Or enough sense not to go where I went?

It was all worth a muffler, believe me!

saw that. Next year we will have to have a bear proof food control system in place. Our current sauce on the roof program will definitly have to be reevaluated ;)

Next year we just need to put everything in Woodys vehicle and let him fight it out with the bears.

I do see up renting an inclosed U-hauls for events like this. It's cheap and safe.

We could get a U-haul trailer for the entire weekend (2 day rental) for around $60. It would be nice to be able to throw all our junk in there instead of hauling it up a tree.

Sounds like a great idea

Probably less if you do a local rental in Murphy. However, this leads me to another question. Where do we typically store all of the UC stuff? In someone's garage? Storage unit? Maybe a UC enclosed trailer similar to the trail teams is in order? We could even put a smoker/grill on it somewhere :hhmm: Maybe we can get Toyota to donate one of theirs when they're done with them at the end of the year...

Usually gear is stored in various officer's garages or with Jimmy Hoffa in Marshall's garage. A UC trailer would be great but they are pricey. I would LOVE to have the TT donate one of their trailers. They get new vehicles every year or two but I assume they use the trailers for longer.
