Porsche has a Best Seller in its Scale Model Motor.
"Visitors to the Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen have an affinity for honey. That's just one of the many items available in the gift shop you'll find on site.
It's not the sweet sticky stuff that is a best-selling item though, as Porsche fans are clamouring to get their hands on an actual engine. Not the full-size mill, mind you, but a 1:4 scale version of the flat-6 boxer motor you'd find under the nose of a 911 from 1966..."

Huh?

What I wrote above :)
Best on Porsches.....
... they have a replacement engine in the rear :)

Best car on the planet is the Citroen 2CV Sahara
you find an engine under their nose and one in the rear.

Was a fault not to buy one in the eighties.

VW dabbled with twin engine cars in the '80s. More than once.

Two motors, and both ICE? Kinda silly.

Make one electric, and have the best of both worlds. Toyota will set you up today with a PHEV.

Behind Moulin Rouge the Red 45 Can ....
... a vehicle with 2 strong engines in front ..... great. :)

I'm back - briefly.

FJ40 is still in my garage, the buyer has had some difficulty arranging enclosed transport to Long Island.

While we both wait, he had me restore the pair of jump seats for the rear. Turned out nice.

I think it looks better with those seats, and without the sand bar. Good job.
Buyer is going to keep both. I will bolt the sand bar back in for transport and pack the jump seats in the cargo area. Not that hard to swap them back and forth as needed.

Have you decided what your next resto will be?
Yes, the Porsche in post #545

I don't normally like to do the same thing twice in a row, and so I've been looking at other options. Not surprisingly, I found one. And it is not a Toyota.

I could say that I'm sorry, but I'd be lying.

Nice patina. Gonna paint it, or buff it out?

It'll get painted. Original color is silver, someone painted it "resale red" in the late '80s or '90s. Will go back to original someday. Probably not right away, though.

Nice work man!!
Gonna have to go back and read it again when I have a little more time :)
