I just got a full understanding of the drivetrain idea for Old Landy! Fun! Fun!

Hey Michael pop just bought some fj62 third members (4.11 gear ratio), I was just wondering what you have in yours, would you recommend 4.11 or something else, how it feels, and what tire size you have on your rig. If anyone else has suggestions please let me know.

If you want to keep the parking brake on the split case Georg can hook you up. I purchased everything from him not long ago to add a parking brake to a split case that is going in my 40.

I have 33's on my 4.11 geared truck, but it's a 2F not diesel. Works great for my use on and off road.

Good to know! Georg is great.

Cowboy I'm running 4:11's with 33" tires. I like this combination for power and fuel economy. Old Landy should already have 4:11's unless Andres changed them out. I tried 3:70 gears with the 2H/H55F combination with 31" tires and it moved the power band too drastically for my taste. I had to down shift too far to get up the hills here in north Alabama. But the fuel economy was great! In the flat lands of Texas it might work very well for you but when you get to the mountains I don't think you will like the end result.

Awesome K. Looking forward to it.

This should be good. Looking forward to pictures. Have fun

Just finished reading through your thread. Super excited to watch you work on Old Landy. Maybe I missed it, but is Andres still out there, have you searched for him at all? I would think he'd love to see this thread.

Over all we found no cancer spots, and any semi major rust spots you see are on the camper shell alone (fixable). The pics below on THIS post are drivers side (RHD) door exterior.
