Let me know when we can do this again, hopefully I'll be able to make it this time. I was so excited about it my wife said I was like a kid waiting for Christmas. Kenton, your pics are exactly what I had in mind minus my bolt on kickouts. From what Ernest was telling me, they would line up almost like the factory running boards correct? I'm pretty much free for the next few weekends up until the end of March. I won't be able to do a weekday so Saturday and Sunday is best for me.

This weekend I can do a couple-few hours. 8-12ish I have a ton of class work to do for my last class on Tuesday. I can't do another all day thing until March. The first two weeks and last week is best.

Man, those are some seriously sexy welds on those sliders.:grinpimp:

Looking to set up a day or two for the next two sets. Maybe even a set for the FJC if I can dig up some plans or pics.

I'm wheeling at the Cliffs on the 11th so that Sunday and realistically that Saturday are out.

The following weekend might be tight, but do-able.

The week after that I have Friday off as well as the entire next week except Thursday.

I'm up for any of that. Today I put my sliders up to my truck, pix at:

Lookin good Kenton. I have a little bit more to grind on mine, but I should have mine on later this week. Rust Bullet takes a lot longer to dry than standard paint. :frown:

I put my new OME 850/860s on yesterday at work. I did the fronts myself, and had a buddy help with the rears. Whole thing took about 1.5 hours. No new shocks yet, but hoping for some Bilsteins in the near future. I have to get the caster bushings pressed in still, but the ride is like night and day difference. Nice and firm, and even smoother than OEM. No more body roll either. I'll have some pics later this week when the sliders go on.

Looks real good, exactly what I had in mind, almost factory. I'm free the weekends of either the 3/23 & 3/24 or 3/31 & 4/1.

Let's set the next session as Sunday, April 1st. I might also be able to do 3/31, won't know until next week.

I'm no good on the 1st. I have to work the next day and judging by how long it took last time, I don't know if we would be done early enough. How about 3/31? Kenton, let us know as soon as you can find out. I think Saturday would be a better day in case unexpected issues arise.

31st or 1st works for me. As far as time concerns. Now that Kenton's set is completed, we have a fully built template to go from as well as some paper templates for the cat outrigger and such so things should go much faster. Also many of the mounting brackets are already done and the other we need to fab are pretty simple to make. So in theory we could nail out a set or two in almost half the time. My set (after Kenton's) took considerably less time to make with exception of the tubes on mine.

Having absolutely zero experience with fabrication, I pose this question. Are the flat steps like kenton is making substantially more difficult than the bumped out gumby tube steps? I like gumby's setup and am starting to see a need for these for the :princess: -in-training to be able to climb into the truck and because I've had 3 seperate asshats open their doors into my truck in the last 3 months.

I'm sorry I haven't been able to attend any of the fab sessions, the :princess: has been working every weekend and I've had kid duty.

Ok, we're on for Saturday the 31st. Meet same time (8am), same place? So we're doing two more? Todd you gonna be ready with the FJC plans?

I might be. They're a lot easier. Captured nuts in the frame at four points on each side. I'm just gonna do all round tube like All Pros.

Four frame pieces to a round bar under the rocker with a kick out step either like Robs or Metal Techs.
