Added a Thule Caprock M roof rack and evo foot pads to the existing flush rails, 2018 LX570
I like how it turned out. And i did not have to take down the headliner to install it.
I went with the M size so the satellite radio antenna would not be blocked all the time

It's an older North Shore vertical rack I rented from the Space Force base I work at. I think NSR has a newer version now.
It was heavy but solid and doesn't rattle. I liked the flexibility of being able to fit my size large Salsa full suspension and my 2 y/o's strider bike on the same rack without issues or having to do a mod or work-around. Even with my truck in low, you need to be tall to load/unload the bikes. I'm 6' and struggled a bit. I doubt my 5'9" wife could load/unload, much less put it on the hitch.
I think if I were to buy a vertical rack, I'd try the VelociRaX.

What area of Big Bear was this?
I apologize but I'll have to be more vague as it's a pretty special spot we've found over the years exploring Big Bear. They have a way of getting overrun especially outside of LA. It's at 8k ft.
2017 LX570 Lux Pack. Purchased used with 31k miles. Great for family roadtrips, Costco runs and moving kid's stuff to college. Wifey's ride, daily commuter. No mods, just gas and maintenance.

Patiently waiting for '16+ option (LX)
On a work trip (Vail/Beaver Creek --> Winter Park, Colorado). Decided to take the long way between Beaver Creek and Winter Park/Granby. Found out 9 mile down the forest service road, that it's gated and closed. Wasted a good hour. But a pretty drive and nobody out there. Stopped at Slee today for some spacers. Very helpful/friendly staff. And, great vehicles to gawk over - in the show room and parking lot.
