Land Cruiser Larry hugs a tree. Ouch!!

Took the small waterfall out at the Puerco last night a little too far passenger. Now what? The door works the same but the window will not retract and clearly the lever is kaput. Fortunately, the fender and rear passenger are not damaged. It didn't damage the molding or mirror either. Not sure if I should try to get this repaired or look for a used door.

Looks like I gots to fly this flag at Moab next week - bummer!

Any thoughts?

Larry I went out in the backyard and hugged a tree if that helps any lol. I would think it could be repaired by a body shop pretty well. Get a quote and then price a new (salvage) door and the cost of painting it, then see which option works best. I think the body work will be less in the end.

Larry,

I can help with that. I've used a football to push out the panel so that the window can roll up/down. The door latch is just a phone call away from Cdan. He'll need your VIN so that paint will match. Easy peasy.

NICE JOB...yup, I'm DEFINITELY spotting you this weekend...

Might be able to find the handle at a salvage yard for temporary use and get Ali to push the door skin out enough to get the window to work. Then work on the longer term fixes after Moab.

Dents are like tattoos, but with better stories! wear that thing proud at Moab. :D like the rest said, temp fix for now and do it complete after you're back and have time.

It needs a bandaid....

It probably won't make you feel better I hugged a rock

Seems to be a pandemic.....

Larry - Sorry to see that, but you can rest easy now - you've officially broken her in!

Do you know these guys or did Shawn tell them to do it? What did you do about the door handle?

Frank Chavez is a friend and introduced me to the sport a few years back. Frank pulled up in his 40 and I said - nice jeep.... I hate to admit that I said that, but facts are facts and there you go.....

So it is all his fault that I spent all this $$ on a LC. I have yet to meet this "Shawn" you all speak of. I am beginning to wonder if he actually exist! Has anybody else met Shawn??:D
:)

I hear that he use to go 4 wheeling but I've never seen it personally

He's like Bigfoot - there are a lot of legends floating around out there!
