Everything is well!! I plan on backpacking through Argentina for 6 months to a year and spending some me time. I have very little financial obligations and nothing really holding me back for now from exploring the world. So before I get old:flipoff2:, have a child or get into some sort of debt (more FJ s***) there are some things that I need to do. I appreciate all of you guys and am very happy with the friends I have made here. I will have more to share later but for now that is the quick rundown of what is going on in my life.

Brad, you are one of the coolest cats i ever met. you can hang out with young and old, rich and poor, old cruiser and new fj with no bias. This will serve well in your travels. I have connections in Nicaragua if you happen to pass by, I will hook you up. Hope to see your travels in fb. Felicidades hermano :-)

good luck everybody with the Hurricane - we are on the first flight out of here tomorrow

(in our defense, this Labor Day trip was planned long in advance - we just have to get out of here before the chaos breaks out :hillbilly:)

also, met a dark early model 80 today on HIghland at 5:30ish - he waved

Saw 2 FJ40's at Bass Pro Shop on Friday. This was my favorite!

Anyone own a round tube bender? I am thinking of fabbing a roof rack. Only thing i am missing is a tube bender though to make the corners.

That may work. I just need to make 4-90* bends.

Anyone have any idea on what a good thickness for 1" tubing would be good for a roof rack, i'm thinking somewhat thin as the lighter weight the better, and really heavy items won't be placed on the roof.

that sucks - I hope any boxes I got will still be there Monday night when we get home

Aluminum or steel?
Of the top of my head I'd think wall thickness of 1/16-1/8 which runs per foot weight of 0.6-1.2 lbs.
How big is it gonna be? Mesh bottom or just cross members?

according to FEDEX, my ICON shock mounts got "delivered, left at front door"...when i got home, no package anywhere. not sure if someone stole them, or if fedex is just retarted, either way, i'm out $100. sucks.

I've had them do that before and it get delivered that afternoon or the next day. Whether there was insurance or not, call and file a claim. Tell them it was worth $99 ONLY IF THEY ASK!!

super s***ty

I have had a few packages listed as "delivered" and then shown up the day or so.

and inform your credit card company so they stop payment until the issue is resolved

What are the build dates for the early 07 FJCs that have rear end issues? My build date is 2/07, does this put my in the problem category?

06 build. I think if yours was built in october or november 2006 on, you should be good.
