I am trying to find the OEM Part number for the Non Vacuum Split T-Case to suit a 40 series cruiser which I believe is the same as the 60's and 70's .

I thought it might be 36110-60271 but I can't seem to find enough info to be sure and need to make sure it is a Manual Actuation not a Vacuum.

It is to go onto a H55F transmission in a 40 series.

Thanks

hey Brad ,

try this out and tell me if its a winner or Not .................

36110

36110-60162
Transfer Assy
[02.1983 - 09.1983] FJ40

The numbers above will not be correct or available.

The two current available transfer case iterations:

36110-6E181
36110-6C070

Whichever one you choose, reminder that the input parts are not there nor are the output flanges. You will need the following, whichever way you go so that you "build" the input components. Toyota leaves these parts out because the transfer case went behind so many different transmissions and in so many different platforms and markets. As such, it's up to the user to figure out what setup works best. I have found the below parts to be the most readily available.

33309-60041 x1
33309-60060 x1
90301-34005 x1
36212-60110 x1 (36212-60081 can also be used as an option for the input gear as well)
36215-60030 x1
36251-60030 x1
90363-35013 x1
90179-26002 x1
90179-22005 x2

The transfer cases are already "built" so to speak, but things like the PTO cover and rear cover are loosely installed with factory hardware... So it would still need to be somewhat disassembled to mate with your H55F.

And some pictorial representation so no one thinks I'm just spouting part numbers for the fun of it...

I bought the 6E181 and it is also missing the speedo transducer. Not sure which one to buy if installing into an FJ40. Any ideas?

Thanks
Joe

@beno thanks for your very informative answer that was exactly what I am after.

36110-6E181

Looking at the picture am I correct in that the 2WD / 4WD engagement is mechanical as opposed to Vacuum ?

Thanks for all the excellent info.
What are the differences between:
36110-6E181
36110-6C070

H55F 33030-60450
oil pipe 33124-36010
Shift handle 33504-14050-B8
lever assy. 33530-60160
Split T case 36110-6c070 or
36110-6e181
90179-22005 flange nut. (2)
33309-60041 flange (1)
33309-60060 companion flange(1)
90301-34005 o ring (1)
36215-60030 PTO gear(1)
36251-60030. Input shaft spacer(1)
90363-35013 output bearing (1)
90179-26002 nut (1)
36212-60110 or 36212-60081 input gear

Ok so this list should give me a ready to install H55F and transfer case? I assume I'll order the 36110-6c070 t case for the 2f engine? This part is confusing I'm assuming the two different part numbers for different engine/trans options?

Hey guys I have pretty much got everything for my H55f setup except the speedo gear setup. Can someone shed some light as to which one to use?

This depends on your tire size and diff gearing. The driven gear that would have worked best with 3.70:1 diff gear and taller tires is NLA as of a few years ago.
