the terminal blocks are nice also

honestly I havnt installed either, I cleaned up my fuseblock on the 45LV and it works fine

Well... THREAD DREDGE time again!

trekker asked if the colored fuses were still available. After many weeks of searching and getting a huge helping hand from a MUD member,
I can now say the colored fuses ARE available!
These are OEM fuses. They come from the company that originally built them for Toyota. They STILL build them for other companies.
I have them for sale on my web site under the Misc Electrical section.

Green 20 Amp
Blue 15 Amp
Yellow 10 Amp
Brown 5 amp

They look kind of like Christmas ornaments!

One more thing that the true restoration crowd can add to their wish list!
I like them because a lot of people have lost their fuse block covers and the colored fuses show what value is what. No more popping the fuse out to try to read it's value.

That is one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time. Makes me smile. I will have to take some time and put a list together for personal use, since all 4 of my personal rigs are 1960s vintage.

What's even cooler to me is when you have a very clear cover on the fuseblock, so you can see all those colors THRU the cover. :smokin:

Kinda like this:

No doubt about it, I like the orignal parts for these old work horses. One of my first posts involved this strange round thing I found mounted to the transmission on ! Oy. Turned out to be the speed sensor for the emissions computer. On a 1971 truck! Basically a signal generator driven by the speedo cable. I was hooked! I proceeded to gather all the other parts of this circuit and have been trying to track down other weird lights and other weird electrical things. Good relaxing therapy.

Fuse block came with a cover????? Do like the colored fuses, prolly order me some.
Have to tell this story about glass fuses: Back in the 70's when I was a GM mechanic had a customer with a 1 ton GMC pulling a trailer. Kept blowing the light fuse so he put in a piece of copper tubing. Melted the whole wiring harness under the dash.

I thought the fuse cover along with all the surrounding wiring and under dash parts were supposed to be painted body color! Or should I say repainted body color.

Between coolerman and Racer65 I am going to have a sweet looking fuse box!

I didn't think there would that much interest but I have already sold half of what I ordered.

Almost every early harness I have seen has been painted body color, some multiple times!

The speed sensor is the first thing I took off my '71.
