you don't carry spare fuses
![]()
Well... THREAD DREDGE time again!
trekker asked if the colored fuses were still available. After many weeks of searching and getting a huge helping hand from a MUD member,
I can now say the colored fuses ARE available!
These are OEM fuses. They come from the company that originally built them for Toyota. They STILL build them for other companies.
I have them for sale on my web site under the Misc Electrical section.

They look kind of like Christmas ornaments!
One more thing that the true restoration crowd can add to their wish list!
I like them because a lot of people have lost their fuse block covers and the colored fuses show what value is what. No more popping the fuse out to try to read it's value.

I thought the fuse cover along with all the surrounding wiring and under dash parts were supposed to be painted body color! Or should I say repainted body color.
Between coolerman and Racer65 I am going to have a sweet looking fuse box!
No doubt about it, I like the orignal parts for these old work horses. One of my first posts involved this strange round thing I found mounted to the transmission on ! Oy. Turned out to be the speed sensor for the emissions computer. On a 1971 truck! Basically a signal generator driven by the speedo cable. I was hooked! I proceeded to gather all the other parts of this circuit and have been trying to track down other weird lights and other weird electrical things. Good relaxing therapy.
