Hello all. I have been a member but still new to the forum. Can anyone recommend what Toyota dealership in Dallas/North Dallas area to have the Toyota spacers installed on a 200 series. Sorry if I missed in one of the threads.

Check out post 73 & 75 on page 4 by @timjax. Freeman Toyota. Instal and alignment for $350. Also post 321 on this page Although it’s not a dealership. I’m scheduled at Tandem Off-road for the 9th to have a set installed as well as getting power brakes installed upfront. I’d do them all myself as it’s pretty easy but am crunched for time. Tandem specializes in Toyota.

Thanks for pointing that out. Would love to hear some feedback from your install.

Freeman did a clean install at a fair price. Just be sure to mention how it's an OEM part, and that you don't need to fully disassemble the strut to install (some shops assume the whole strut assembly needs to be compressed and disassembled, and quote you accordingly - the spacer just sits on top of the strut top plate). But if I wanted the best install in DFW, I'd go to Goode's Offroad in Rowlett.

This is the absolute best tutorial on how to do this project. Extremely detailed and thorough.

Goode’s does great work from what I’ve heard. I have gone to Frisbee and had excellent work done there. We are fortunate to have excellent Toyota MRO’s in the metroplex. I even left off a few

Another dealer option is Family Toyota in Arlington. TJ is an awesome service rep that sees plenty of modified 4Runners and Tacomas. One of my good friends is a manager there and all of them are pretty active on the 4Runner and Toyota FB pages.
Another Toyota shop in Mansfield is Oscar at Tread Depot. Really good dude that does nice work.
Also as mentioned, the guys at Tandem are always a solid choice to wrench on our rigs.

Thats a great video on how to do the install. But couldnt you just get some spring compressors and not have to worry about removing/loosing the other bolts? Looks like you should be able to compress the springs and then move the whole coilover assembly without messing with other parts. Anyone who has done the install themselves know if this is an option?

Nah, the procedural order he undoes the front end is wrong.

You want to do it like this:

1) sway link bolt (on ground actually)
2) shock mount bolt
3) knuckle bolts
4) lca cam bolts

Otherwise you will score the bolt bores while pulling and mark up your bolt threads. Ask me how i know… lol

Ive taken the this truck apart so many times now i should open an LC shop of my own.

Ahh, okay. So no way around messing with the knuckle bolts and the lca cam bolts? I would have thought you could compress the springs with spring compressors, manually compress the shock and give yourself enough clearance to slip the spacer over the top. Sounds like I'm thinking about this too simplistically.

There isn't room around the spring to get compressors in safely.

On lots of cars you could leave the LCA cam bolts tight, but our bushings are so large if you do that you can't get the arm down enough to get the strut assembly out.

You'll need an alignment with the spacer install anyway, so might as well loosen the LCA and knuckle bolts. The knuckle can hang off the UCA and its bushings, the LCA will swing out of the way, and the strut assembly drops right out.

Note that you should loosen and tighten the UCA pivot bolts once the vehicle is on the ground at its new ride height to avoid undue stress on those bushings. Getting access to those is kinda tough, but doable.

Hi all. New here and wondering if anyone has had this installed at a dealer or shop in Houston? I didn’t see it mentioned in previous posts but apologies if I’m blind.

Mine was done in Dallas but I would call 2 or 3 Toyota dealers closest to you as well as Duggy’s Garage. Duggy’s will be pretty busy with Toyota Jamboree though. Install should be close to $400 give or take $150ish. It will require an alignment afterwords as well and that price is inclusive of that. I do believe there was at least one person on this thread from Houston.l

Awesome. Thanks so much for the guidance.

There's a thread for Houston area shops. I like LC of Houston.

I just ordered my spacers today!!
That’s great news @Sharky1528. Congrats. I’d love to see some photos once you have them installed.

I received mine the other day. Not sure why, buy I’d expected to be a heavy duty composite.

As soon as I wrap up some business travel, I’ll have them installed along with Bora 1” spacer and post the results here.

I just installed these spacers today. I got a full 1” lift out of them. We’ll see after a few days when they settle. Alignment appointment tomorrow morning. Took me about 2 hours following directions posted on these forums.
