Those are the only mods done? The tires should fit regardless of having the spacer or not as long as you're on stock offset wheels.I had the oem front spacers installed last week, and now my 285/65/18’s are rubbing in reverse.
Anyone run this combo successfully without rub?
Throwing darts blindfolded....Sounds like you might be running Nitto's on your rig. I installed the OEM coil spacers and I run 285/65R18 Nitto Terra Grappler G2s and I also get some occasional rubbing when reversing or turning on incline/decline. I also have the 12.5 aux tank installed, which i keep full, so that may impact as well.I had the oem front spacers installed last week, and now my 285/65/18’s are rubbing in reverse.

Edited my initial post with more detail. Thanks for the response;Throwing darts blindfolded....Sounds like you might be running Nitto's on your rig. However, I've always suspected it was the Nitto TGs being a smidge wider/larger than usual.
My rub hasn't been bad enough to worry about, but I understand your annoyance.
Regardless, what brand and model of tire are you running?

Not occasional for me… quite significant rubbing when reversing in both directions (left or right).

The tires fit perfectly without rub before the oem coil spacer.
Where is it rubbing?View attachment 3972345
Good to know that it should work without rub… I’ll go get another alignment and see if that fixes it.
For those with a good alignment eye, see anything here that might contribute to rub?
*they mentioned the actual caster numbers are the handwritten 2.7 & 2.8. I have no idea if they were lying, but that’s what they said.
Okay, finished product with RRW 17x8.5 0 offset wheels, Falken Wildpeak AT4 285/70 17 and the E&E 13mm spacer on front strut (not OEM spacer but same concept). I could not be more pleased with the stance. Gained about 1.5in in the front and the rear is only sitting 1/2 inch higher.
May I ask where you got the spacer installed ? It’s 2026 now and I’m wondering if Toyota dealerships are still familiar enough with the lc200 to know how to do thisOkay, finished product with RRW 17x8.5 0 offset wheels, Falken Wildpeak AT4 285/70 17 and the E&E 13mm spacer on front strut (not OEM spacer but same concept). I took it to a local shop that works on Toyotas and Defenders. They charged me $500 for install and alignment. I would say if I had a lift or 4 jack stands, I would do it myself. I attempted it with just two jack stands, and I also loosened KDSS while it was on the ground. Both of which keep the suspension stiff or at least stiffer than fully lifting all 4 wheels off the ground and waiting until it’s lifted before loosening KDSS.May I ask where you got the spacer installed ? Thanks for the info. You think it’s safe then to just get it done at any 4x4 shop or is it preferable to do it at Toyota dealership?I took it to a local shop that works on Toyotas and Defenders. I was able to get the strut out myself, but once the spacer was on top it was impossible for me to get the LCA low enough to push the strut back into place. I think the LCA would have drooped slightly more had I did the steps I mentioned above.
The shop charged me for 2.5 hours of labor plus alignment.
I honestly can’t answer that , I didn’t call my local Toyota place as they already ask way above anywhere else around for their vehicles so I didn’t bother with labor lolThanks for the info. It’s almost identical to a tundra and most shops would have done a lot of those. Thanks for the info. You think it’s safe then to just get it done at any 4x4 shop or is it preferable to do it at Toyota dealership?
Correct. I made them step by step instructions and marked where the KDSS valves were tightened to so they knew exactly how many turns they did. LolIt’s almost identical to a tundra and most shops would have done a lot of those.
The one major thing to be aware of is the KDSS system.. if they don’t open the balance screws they’ll have a hell of a time getting everything back together, but if they open them too much they’ll inadvertently depressurize the system.. which is really bad.
