Dave was trying to be low key about the beer factor but I'll be bringing a case of Corona's, a bag of limes and some Bass Ale along with the chips and salsa.

So who has the best idea for an undercover drinking cup? The red and blue plastic party cups seem pretty obvious.

If there are any vegetarian's coming I'm also bringing a meatless chili that's pretty tasty. Snicker, snicker: As Stan once said, "It tastes great but just think how much better it would be with meat". :D

Scott, use a coffee travel mug LOL Are you not allowed to drink beer out of a bottle at Oneil?

So we'll have two different types of chili... hahaha I smell a competition! :D

Looks like it may rain a little saturday.. so all you mud folks can play. I hate mud, so i'm not going in it. Cant stand the stuff actually. After hooking up, i may just head over to Oneil to see if i can get a spot for the group.

Yeah, no alcohol in any of our regional parks.

Don't think you can compare a vege chili to a good carne batch but it is flavorful.

You got a number I can reach you at? I was thinking the same thing but as soon as the park opened I was gonna try to save a spot.

Nalgenes or similar make good secret beer cups.

Looking forward to meeting everyone...

Whats the difficulty of the trail we will be running ?

I was looking forward to flexing the rig a little, oh well.

There might be a few little of shoots you can play on. Don't really remember, it's been forever since i've been there. Never really go there because it's just a dirt road where people take their 2wd pre-runners to get stuck. Kind of lame to me. But for the meet and greet it's better than a parking lot.

You can drive your cousin's low rider and it'll do fine unless of course it rains then there will be some water crossings.

The trail does not require 4 wheel drive or even high clearance for that matter but it is dirt and can be alot of fun. There are actually some nasty places little hills where you can high center and definitely flex the rig. Right at the entrance there is a side trail that will pin stripe the hell out of your rig and one small little climb that you could actually roll your rig on if it's muddy. Your not allowed to wheel in the river bed from what I have been told but it's not posted anywhere that you can't. I'm just sayin....

My buddies FJ used to be a lowrider with stock rubbers.

He has gone everywere with his rig that I have gone through minus one deep mud pit(he was chicken)
Pretty capable rig after we were done with the mods:

OME Heavies
285/75 BFG ATs
Demello Winch Bumper
All Pro Rear Bumper
Warn M8000
Lots of aftermarket skids on the bottom

I will always use this video against him though(bunch of us rookies trying to wheel):

FJ's aren't half bad. Can't do the Hammer's in one even with 35's cause of IFS but it'll get you through Dishpan, John Bull and the like. The best part is 259hp and getting to your destination in comfort.

Scott, awesome info on Trabuco, thanks for posting that up.

No worries Dave, thanks. Nice talking to you today. I can smell the burgers already. :D

As mentioned, there are a few fun little sections. There's definately enough to justify heading out vs meeting in a parking lot. If it rains - you can get some mud splashes on your truck.

I've never seen a posting prohibiting driving on the rocks in the river bed...

Harry, I like this one from your collection:
YouTube - frazier fj

The classic one liner - "What the f--k was that?!"
LOL, ya it was funny. We both hit the same rock and had drive around it. He has a heavy foot as you can see.

By the way, that is a pretty steep hill, the video does not do any justice.
