This is where you have to get the OEM ones, denso is fine but don't get the cheaper generic. Runs about $225. It's one of the items that HAS to be OEM unless you want to keep changing them every couple years. It's the really only weak spot in the 93-94.

Have fun busting your knuckles!

Leave the old ones in place, ditch the pair valve and put the new ones in the manifolds.

I already ordered the OEM ones from McGeorge. I got the set for $235 shipped. My knuckles should be fine though since I have had these out about five times in the last two weeks as part of the new exhaust system and then trying to figure out why my CEL came on. :hillbilly:

I already disabled my EGR system but I haven't given much thought to removing the PAIR system. What does that do for me? Is there an advantage to installing the o2 sensors directly into the manifold? How do you move the wires up there without cutting and splicing?

Yea but the nice thing is they don't tear apart and strip like the OEMs do. That's what makes it a knuckle buster job, been there done that:(

By putting them in the manifolds, they are getting soaked with mud, road salt, rain spray, etc. The wires are already long enough, just make sure you keep the left and right correct.

Not sure if your asking me but this thread is directed at a 94 which I have. I will be putting them in the PAIR location since I removed the system for the York install . I hear Denso is good, Bosch is bad and NTK is factory. Yes, I have been searching and my head is blowing up as it usually does.:)
What is a York install?? I am going with a single cat y pipe on my 94 and was considering removing the air injection and installing new o2 sensors in the manifolds. Is this what you have done??

A York install is for providing On board air (OBA) using a York compressor which is driven off the flywheel pulley system.. @NLXTACY sells the mounting brackets, pullies and plumbing that you need. The PAIR has to go to make room of the York compressor.

How do you like the engine driven compressor as opposed to a battery powered?
Does it keep an on board tank pressurized?
Any power loss felt?

the YORK is more powerful than any electric on the market. It pumps up 9.5cfm and never heats up.

You will never ever have a need to be driving while the pump is on so power loss isnt even a concern.

I was going with an air locker for the rear diff so i wasnt sure. I plan on putting an air tank where the spare tire is so that should hold pressure.

I have had the o2 sensors in the manifolds for few years now no issues. You can leave your old sensors in the exhaust as plugs and put the new ones up into the manifold. The bad news is Toyota has discontinued the o2 kit for 93 94 so if you need some better check now, if you want oem which are ntk for those years from what I’ve seen
